There are lots of lovely parks in Nottingham - Wollaton Park, Rushcliffe, Gedling Country park, as well as Newstead Abbey, Clumber, Rufford. Venues - Ice Arena, Theatre Royal, Brewhouse Yard museum, to name a few. There are restaurants of every cuisine you can think of.

To be honest exept London every town in England looks exactly the same in terms of architecture landscape climate and culture with the same chains of shops ( Gregg, Costa, Booster, caffè negro). That's why I stop to travel in UK.
