It amazes me that out of the uprising young chinese players, Lei Peifan has won a ranking title before Si Jiahui and Wu Yize, not to mention also that he had to qualify for the event he won!

Fang Zhengyi also won a raking event in 2022, but nothing ever since, so much so, he will be struggling to keep his tour card soon. The qualities that make them consistent snooker players are not the same as those that allow others to win titles. You could have a brilliant technique and natural talents if you cannot withstand pressure (see Lisowski).

Why does Ryan Davies never get a mention in these? He's an excellent player. Not seen much tv time of him in general though tbh.

I was thinking about adding him to this list, but his achievements as a main tour player are quite modest compared with, for example, Antoni Kowalski. It seems like he can't get use to a higher standard of snooker. He was really impressive in amateur events though. I also wanted to include Julien Leclercq, although his latest results are quite weak. Bulcsú Révész deserves being mentioned as well.

Ryan Davies is 22 and never yet been pro. He's attempted Q school 16 times since 2019 and failed to get through. It would be pretty mad for him to be on a list like this

There are plenty of fantastic potters and break builders, tactitions etc, but Ronnie was a beast when he was young, and now in middle age, he has everything in spades and more - he has the aura that intimidates even the best. Of the new generation, I would say that Wu Yize will win the World Championship one day soon.

Why should one try to replace him? There are great and outstanding players out there. And they are not replacing anyone but being themselves with maybe new records. But it's their own kind of playing and no replacing.

I have no idea 😂..I think, in my eyes, it kinda denotes a lack of respect. Plus (even though its unlikely) there have been times that a chalk has been left at a certain place on the table that it'll give them a target. But yeah overall I'm just a grumpy old man 😂
