Cavani has been doubted as being able to handle the offends by himself without Suarez and Forlan on the national team and without Ibra at PSG, Alexis just finished his first season outside of Messi's shadow and killed it at Arsenal so everyone wants to see if he can carry that momentum to the national team as Chile host the Copa America, and Pastore has been in and out of the squad for both national and club teams so now is his time to prove that he's still ludicrously talented (if he still is). It's all about the storylines, not necessarily the actual talent.

No it's just David Alaba, it's pronounced as it looks and even he pronounces it like that, stop over complicating it. And people who pronounce it "David Villa" and not "Davvid Viya" are the same morons who try to put an accent on Alaba's first name. I'll tel you why people do this too. Internalised Ethnocentrism. (You'll probably wanna look that up). When it comes to names you're supposed to pronounce them as the person themselves pronounces them.
