So when you accidentally get your foot caught in between the tire and the bar end, it wouldnt hurts as much, or so that your toe cant actually go in. Im surprised there isnt a "bar end" that is actually made to go there. lol

pipe cleaners work better then the shoelace does. instead of glue on the rim use rubbing alcohol to clean your rim and install soft pads. and dont put anything like pop or that on your rim, some of them have salt in them, salt corrodes aluminium also if your pads are old then remove them and feel the surface if it feels hard and like glazed over sand it down till it feels soft and fresh again. keeps your brake pads lasting longer. instead of removing that spacer and slimming it down you can use a flange from a grip inside the crank arm on one side of your cranks. if you set it up right itll prevent your cranks from spinning but wont make pedaling feel bad. flipping your stem doesnt necessarily make your bars taller, some frontload stems are designed to give you rise, if you flip it itll drop the bars. my personal hacks. for gyro users, derailer inner wires work as inners for dual lower cable set ups and are thinner and thus smoother. regular old school housing is smoother then linear housing so for gyros dont use linear housing. you can use v brake noodles for the bends on your lower cables. for levers if it hits your hand when you pull the lever, you can take a torch and heat the lever up and bend it with the closed end of a wrench, go slow. you can also do this to personal the shape. for dual lower gyro cables you can take a second london mod or dual cable adapter, remove the barrel adjusters and run your brake cable housing through it. then bolt it to the front most cable guide on your frame. use the rear one as normal. nor you have a dual cable guide to keep your cables looking nice and out of the way. this plus the v brake noodle mod keeps the housing running along time, whe the winners break just buy derailer inners, they are thinner and easier to break but because there are two of them the load is split so they work for gyros, just dont mash on the brake really hard. however because they are thinner and smoother it also means you need less spring tension to make your brakes spring back, meaning you can feather the break easier for manuals. meaning you only ever need 2 fingers at most. derailer inners are usually like 2$ or less in north america for basic ones. you can also get fancy teflon coated ones for even smoother brakes. if you notice you get alot of flats, take an old tube cut the valve stem off, split the tube up the belly side where the vale stem is(cut it through if need be to get at the belly easier) now you can wrap it around your entire tube before sticking it inside your tire, prevents lots of flats, can even help with pinch flats. if you run brakes, you can buy aluminium or titanium replacement bolts from bolt makers online. cheaper then bmx companies. you can aslo get shorter ones making it easier and faster to get your lever off. if you are worried about breaking a lever bolt just notch it under the head above the threads deep enough that its a thin spot, if it brakes youll have threads exposed above the lever so you can use pliers to get it out, shorter bolts make it quicker to remove. for those who brake alot of lever bolts. you can also get bolts with hex head keying all the way through so its hollow but if its brakes you can hammer an allen key in and remove it or go through the back of the lever. if you are concerned about weight or can find a 20 inch tube, take a 18inch or 16 inch and partially inflate it, and use that to get rolling. weight weenies do this along with light tires to remove rotational weight. helps with crazy spins. if you run brakes, when you bunny hop you can hold the lever and use pedal pressure to get your back end up really quick and easy. emergency hops. if you have thick dropouts like 8mm thick, you can take a frame guide thats removable for brake cables or a gyro tab and tap your drop out to add integrated chain tensionser. similar to how tree's lil buddy frame's chain tensioners worked. careful not to drill to deep. not recommended for beginners. if your headset or bb start feeling rough like gritty not smashed in, if you are planning to buy a new one try removing the seals and cleaning and re-greasing it first. it can make them last longer and bring them back from the dead.

If you want your chain to be smooth riding, take if off, get a pan and put a candle in the pan and let is sit until it melts, then dip your chain in the hot wax and you will never hear you chain sqeek again. also helps if you have white wall tires and you are sick of all the grease from the chain staining your tires.

hairspray. makes your rims more sticky=more braking power. also works for putting on new grips. with the hairspray the grips will just slip on the bars, when it dries they are on to stay till you get moisture unterneath the grips.
@k3nnyfoster7 жыл бұрын
To replace grips that have no lockrings put a screwdriver down old the grips and pour in a bit of pure alcohol then twist it off. if you use enough and do it quick you can just slide the new ones on and just twist till it drys up. loads better than zip ties put it that way lol

BMX LIFE HACK!- I just used this one the other day and it worked perfectly!! Lets say that you are out and about riding your bike through the city streets or some where descalet and your tire pops and of course there is not a bike shop around nearby nor do you have a spare tube, What should you do?! -Simply just walk your bike all the way back to where ever it is that you parked you car? -NOPE! *All you have to do is cut out the old punctured tube from the rim, Then just remove both sides of tire's bead off of the rim so that the bead is on the outside of the rim - (The rim should be seated intirely inside of the tire) If you have done this correctly, then you can simply just hop back onto the steede and ride the bike back to where ever it is that you need to be!!!! The rim will firmly sit inside of the tire and you can peddle as you normally would, Just without a tube. (You have to remove the tube intirely or else it'll catch up on the frame/Wheel and make it very hard to peddle) -DONT WORRY THIS WILL NOT CAUSE ANY DAMAGE TOO THE TIRE UNLESS YOU ARE MILES AWAY FROM YOUR CAR, THEN WITH THAT MUCH RIDING ON THE TIRE YOU MAY END UP PUTING A HOLE IN THE TIRE. *BUT THAT'S SURE AS HECK ALOT EASIER AND LESS STRESSFULL TO DO, RATHER THAN WALKING YOUR BIKE FOREVERR!!!* GOOD LUCK EVERYONE, I HOPE THIS HELPS YOU OUT SOMEDAY!! -HAPPY RIDING TO YOU ALL :)

Ok I've been riding close to fifteen years and the sand is not as good as using aloe gel if u get road rash burns from riding use mustard on the rough areas another thing is if u suffer from slippery pedals where your shoes slip off for tricks the grip tape idea u used can also be applied to the pedals to stay on as well also another trick is when u have stripped bolts on the allen's and can't get it bars off u can wrap copper wire around the allen or slip it in between the space and wella u can take ur bars off or take the bolt out to replace another life hack when u ride for hours on end it's also a good idea to wear gloves while riding long periods as it does wear on ur hands but before riding apply coconut oil to ur hands soak em for like three minutes and it'll make em softer as well and more durable for slips and rips on ur skin.
