I got somewhat lucky with the PSV. Joined the club in 2017 with the OLED version but wasn't happy with it. Sold it and bought the Slim which I liked much more. At the same time I got a Vita TV on clearance without really planning to use it but it was cheap and it was small so I went for it. Now it's permanently hooked on to the TV with mClassic. Always good for a few minutes or hours. Game prices were climbing back then and some of them were as high as they are today but overall cheaper. I have 14 physical games (Soul Sacrifice Delta Asian Version, Baby) and love them all. Wipeout 2048 became my favorite Wipeout edging out 2097 and Pure. That being said, I just want to give a shout out to you. I have watched all of you Vita content since back in the day. Really enjoyed your style and still do. Greetings from Germany.

Hey man, do you think Sony will make another handheld? If they do like ps4 games running at 720p 30fps and something like psn online, where you can play games from ps1, ps2 and psp like Nintendo online, it would be a huge seller right?

ehhhh, I don't think so. They're pretty much done with the handheld market. It's just too expensive.

Native PS4 game support on a handheld is not possible. The architecture is just not compatible. The Power consumption would be too high. They could make a console like the Steam Deck but forget about running PS4 games natively on such a system.

great video idea! as a late vita adopter (2019) i realized this year i too am very lucky that i started collecting when i did. sure, there are things that were always expensive like the collector's edition of muramasa rebirth with the casing, but (for example) the salt & sanctuary limited box i got for 50 bucks is 250 or more now. when it comes to standard editions, you can still be lucky ( i bought ninja gaiden sigma plus a second time, just because i saw it mint for 20 and that's a steal), but games like trails of cold steel 2 are way overpriced now. fortunately i got most i wanted and even found a spanish seller on ebay who sold me the limited edition extras of demon's tier, xenocrisis and i am the hero for 20 each, because he just collects the physical games and i personally don't need a cartridge for titles that are below 200 MB. still, i appreciate this subject as it's very useful for newcomers and people who missed out. 👍

Yay more VITA content! I built a solid collection of physical games and yea the prices are ridiculous but seem to have plateau as some of the more popular titles have dropped significantly compared to 6 months ago. It is most likely because people are finding out there are a ton of copies making some of them less rare than others. I paid so much for Danganronpa 1 only to see it drop in price by half, but it was totally worth it as I enjoyed the game a lot. Love that you included the walking dead, I need to replay it again on the vita!

I know of people who had stopped playing videogames since the age of 19-20 and after the Lockdowns ... They became avid gamers (on any hardware they could find... Be it an old handheld like the PS Vita or a gaming console like a PS3)

Awesome video as always and relevant as hell. It’s a shame that Vita game prices have been rising, but it beats being a freeloading pirate. Glad that I picked up a bunch of physicals over the past couple of years, even have a few sealed games and some limited editions. I just bought a sealed copy of Undertale for $50, no idea if I’ll dig it or not. Also got a cart of Shinobido 2 for only $16. I want to get a complete copy of resident evil revelations 2, just a shame it’s $80+! Have you picked up any Vita games lately? Have a good one man.

Shinobido 2 is a game everyone would appreciate but everyone is sleeping on it. It has beautiful graphics, smooth gameplay,and is a console like game on a handheld device. One of the best looking games out there

I bought 2 vita games physically for $2. $1 each. I bought Invizimals: The Alliance and The Muppets Movie Adventures for $1 each and $2 overall. That's a great deal and it was at a retail store.

I've been wanting to buy dungeon hunter alliance for the vita and finally purchased it from Amazon prime brand new for about 20 dollars with next day shipping.....not bad for a delisted game. I thought I would of had to pay more. I'm debating on double dipping and getting the ps3 digital version for 13 dollars.....

The games I’m missing from the list is PS All Stars, Chrono Phantasma, and the Walking Dead. Luckily I got Chrono Phantasma a year and a half ago for $27 brand new. Crazy how expensive the games are going for the Vita. I’m so glad I started buying Vita games when GS put them on clearance.

forget purchasing FF X on ebay or elsewhere. just buy it from the SE Store directly and you are always just paying 40 bucks + you also get X-2 since it is a unused case. and i made that collection mistake twice actually and regret it from time to time. i got superlucky one day when i just checked ebay and saw exactly one affordable Velocity2x and also was the CME in a case (!). fun fact: i bought a BB Chrono Phantasma Extended in a local game store last 6 months and merely paid 15 bucks for it. and if GGST didnt release i probably would play this right now.

Burning Skies is only 15 on PSN isn't it? But it's still a ripoff at that price. Unit 13 is the only Vita shooter worth bothering with. Freedom Wars is 15 on PSN also but it felt like shovelware. As for Blazblue, I own Continuum Shift Extend (physical from ebay) and Chrono Phantasma (PSN) but both games are way too bright on an OLED model. In fact, they made me realize that the OLED is way too bright in general, and I've begun noticing it even in games I've played before without issue. Unit 13 is thankfully not too bad in this regard.

Yeah, it’s cheap. Great game but unfortunately it runs at 384p and can barely reach 30fps. Usually it doesn’t matter for turned based games but this looks and plays rough.
