My unsuspecting mother took me to see robocop upon release. She was shocked. She still talks about it and we love it. So of course I had to get the Kenner figure with the police car and dole out some street justice against GI Joe

My father took me to the opening of Alien, I was only 4 years old at the time. Then he purchased the Kenner 1979 Alien figure for me at Toy Biz. It was my teddy bear, however my grandmother thought the toy was grotesque and shook hear head whenever she saw me with it in tow. I am not sure exactly what happened to it, but I did acquire another one second hand thanks to e-bay. The movie had a profound impact on me as well as the art of H.R. Giger. Years later when Aliens premiered, My father and I went to the theaters to go see the movie, it was a fun experience. I distinctly remember the audience laughing at all the one liners and cheering when Sigourney Weaver appeared in the power loader during the final show down with the queen alien uttering the now famous "get away from her you bitch!" line. Good times.

Another R-rated property that (eventually) had a toy line was Swamp Thing. The toys were a tie-in with the early 90's cartoon, which was based, in part, on R and PG-13 rated movies (Swamp Thing, Return of Swamp Thing, respectively) and the comic, which at the time carried a "mature readers" warning. The More You Know 🌠

I had a few of the Alien figures including the flying queen, king alien, and the power loader (which looked nothing like the one from the film sadly) a few mates had the terminator figures where you cooked a batch of skin and moulded it to his endoskeleton and proceeded to peel it off. I was in college when the ALIENS figures hit the shelves. I'm a die-hard ALIENS fan (have been since I first saw ALIEN in 1983 on VHS) and was still riding the post-ALIEN 3 wave when the figures came out, so they were collector's gold for me... and I soaked them up. I bought every figure, vehicle, play set, and even sought out the European packaged figures. I even started a write-in campaign via web page to Kay-Bee Toys and Toys R Us to support the production of the ALIENS Hive Wars line once i found out neither toy seller backed Kenner's ALIEN/Predator mash up line due to lack of interest. The line was eventually produced, and again - I soaked it up. I wasn't a huge fan of the Predator figures - I like the films, but not enough to dive into the toy line. The ALIENS toy line even had a tie-in cartoon planned (Operation: ALIENS), but it never made it passed the planning/test stage. Could you please do a "History of the ALIENS toy line?" It really is an interesting story on how a franchise that didn't have a toy tie-in since 1979 managed to have an extensive one from 1992 to 1995 an included toys by Kenner, Galoob, puzzles, lunch boxes, board games, bubble bath, wrist watches, comics, trading cards (there were series as part of the ALIENS/Predator Universe trading cards produced by Topps in 1995), and more... It literally was "everything but the cartoon." It would make a great addition to your catalog of videos! Please, please consider it.
