I'm British but not attached to that for my favourite players. However, I'm going with Draper to break into the top 10 if his fitness is good. He doesn't have many points to defend for the first part of the season and can only gain, if anything.

Massu is Hubi's 1st coach, not Lendl. Lendl was hired for the-season and later as a mentor when needed. I don't think we'll be seeing him in Hubi's box very often. He's not too keen on travel. Still, Massu is a very good coach and a former top 10 player, so there must be improvements coming. I have Hubi as a dark horse in every tournament👍

Yes, it is a bit similar to the situation of Sinner's two coaches, where Vagnozzi is the first and Cahill the second, however Cahill's presences are frequent, especially in slams and important tournaments, I don't know if Lendl will do differently.

If Sinner stayed No.1 this is historic, as only Federer managed to do it after a superb season. Neither Djokovic not Nadal had when the bar was set so high by them in the previous season. That's a lot of points to defend, so I think it is more realistic to put Sinner at No.2.

The points defending matters during the season, at the end of the season the points are equal to the points won during the calendar year. So Sinner could very well again be the number one whilst earning less points than this year, as long as the rest doesn't earn more points during the year.

That's not correct. Points never reset in the ranking. You just lose the points you gained 52 weeks before (e.g. Sinner will lose only the 2000 points of AO 2024 next January, when AO 2025 starts). The points for the Race, instead, reset every new year (from the 1st of January) and they count to qualify for the ATP Finals

Points are valid for 52 weeks- if they ban him for a year then yes all his points will drop off. If shorter period- only points he will be unable to defend in that period

All the calculations on the points to defend make sense for every period of the year in which you want to predict or calculate the ranking, being the sum of the points of the last 12 months, EXCEPT FOR THE END OF THE YEAR, in which the last 12 months are precisely the period from January to December, where in January everyone starts from zero. It is in fact no coincidence that the race for the ATP Finals at the end of the year coincides with the ranking, and for all players. Surely reporting the results obtained this year gives important information to give us an idea of ​​what each player will be able to do in 2025, and you probably did it for that, but the way you say it makes it seem (at least to me) like the defending points come into play for the final ranking.

Hey Cam every now and then I stop by to watch some of your videos and I this would be my list 1. Jannik sinner 2. Carlos Alcaraz 3. Alexander zverev 4. Dannil medvedev (average year) 5. Alex de minaur (career best year makes a grand slam final, wins united cup for Australia) 6. Taylor fritz (starts the year strong but chokes in the end) 7. Stefanos tsitsipas (has a strong comeback year) 8. Casper ruud (does well at Roland garros and clay season wins a 1000) 9. Novak Djokovic (the start of the decline for him imo gets a injury and forces him out of a grand slam wins a few important tournaments but can’t make up for the points lost) 10. Jack Draper (has a very strong year makes the final in Wimbledon and makes the nitto atp finals Honourable mentions( Hubert hurckacz, Ben Shelton, tommy Paul, Holger rune, Ugo humbert, andrey rublev, nick kyrigos( has a comeback of the decade plays well all season and gets back to the top 20 Honourable mentions are not in order.

I don't quite understand what you mean by "Gain" and "Lose" points in this context. We're not talking about a ranking change across a single tournament or across a surface/continent swing, we're talking about a full year. What does it even mean to say Humbert has points to gain in RG?? He has the same amount of points to gain at AO, at Wimbledon, at USO. It makes no sense to say he has points to gain at RG. What you mean by that is from the day before RG starts to the day RG ends, Ugo has a lot more points to gain. But you're talking about ranking change across an entire year, so it doesn't make sense to say he has more points to gain at RG than elsewhere.

Given WADA has publicly stated their grounds for appeal (ITIA erred by not penalizing Sinner as he is still responsible for his physio’s mistake), they are confident of a successful appeal. The only uncertainty is when CAS will hand down their decision and the length of the suspension. Anything more than 3 months means Jannik will lose no. 1.

At the same time the ITIA stated when the WADA appeal first came out, that the WADA guidelines had been followed in arriving at the no fault or negligence decision. It will hinge on the extent of liability a player can be expected to have for the actions of their entourage, and what is reasonable- so we'll have to wait and see what CAS decides. It don't think it's cut or dried in either direction.

Chuckling at the comments below. Everybody's all in on the young frenchmen and brit, but not a whiff of Paul/Shelton/Tiafoe. GMP I could see because he's got no points to defend early in the year and the top 10 needs one servebot in the mix, but at least Tommy and Francis are hardly past their prime and could see further improvement this year. I feel out of Fils, Draper and Shelton, one of them will pull away and have a chance for the top 10, but I don't feel like any of them has the juice to leapfrog anybody here with the possible exception of Humbert.

Djokovic for me won't be in the top 10 come years' end unless he plays more tournaments. I think his passion has dwindled because all his old rivalries have retired; getting Murray on board is a sign he's holding on to what's past. Meddy also I don't see as high as 5, but will most likely still be in the top 10. I'm hoping to see De Minaur maintain/improve his no.9 ranking, and I'll hedge my bet on Draper creeping in, if he stays healthy. Perricard & Fonseca I think will have good seasons, but until Rune can better manage his thoughts and mental discipline, no amount of skill is going to see him back in the top 10.

Knee injury is in the past, no impact, his age still no impact, his motivation is only issue, and he looks motivated again. Autralia is his, Wimbledon is his, Garros, Alcaraz can beat Novak at his pick, but most likely wont, US open, heavy humid conditions, but Novak can overcome it. He is heavy favorite on two slams, and solid favorite on other two. He has the best chance to win each slam realistically.

Rune and Hubi, no way...I'd rather go with juniors like Draper, Fils, Musetti or even Shelton. I doubt Medvedev can hold his ranking with such a terrible serve game. And Rublev needs to step away from his serve-forehand game, it's simply not a top 10 material anymore.
