You can actually get the Shinra Alpha at any time by returning to the airport space where you first see the high wind, there are Elite Class Shinra soldiers there and you can steal as many Shinra Alphas as you want.

One thing you didn't mention about the Cursed Ring is that the Death Sentence effect can actually be a positive -- if you have Tifa's Powersoul weapon, which you get right before Materia Keeper, having Death Sentence quadruples the power of the weapon. When combined with being on yellow HP which doubles the power again, it becomes one of the most powerful weapons in the game.

By "on yellow HP", I assume you mean that it only doubles the weapon's power if you are under 30% (or is it 20%?) or your max HP. Is that correct ? Also, are your damages *reduced* if you're at full HP, or is Tifa just dealing normal ones ?

I'm not sure what the percentage is, but it's somewhere around 20-30% most likely, all I know is that the HP display turns yellow. And yes, when that happens, it doubles Tifa's attack when using the Powersoul weapon. There's no debuff for being at full HP and no statuses, but I think Powersoul's base attack is low relative to some other weapons you can get around that time. And, uh... you'll have to guess.

Right now I am playing a semi-perfect FF7 run. I refuse to grind for 15840 gils just to buy 99x iron bangle! That is why it is semi-perfect not perfect, but it is good enough for me. XPPP I also wanna say as someone who once played semi-perfect FF8 run, that FF7 perfect game is much more fun than FF8 perfect game. FF8 perfect game is so painful unlike FF7. X(( I don't dare to try FF9 perfect game.

Hello again! My update on my previous comment: I had reached Disc 3 and obtained W-Item Materia, then I discovered a more elaborate form of the W-Item glitch: W-Item + enemy steal. It is very luck-dependent, and there is no reliable way to select the item for duplication, nevertheless it is very useful when successful. With this method I managed to max out my iron bangle inventory. And I didn't stop there; I maxed out also my inventory of Umbrella / Mystile / Warrior Bangle / Rising Sun / Reflect Ring / Sneak Glove / etc! Sigh, I never had to buy 3x Iron Bangle back in Disc 1 after all. I should have just bought only 1x Iron Bangle, and then I should wait until Disc 3 when this W-Item glitch is available. When I was preparing to duplicate my Iron Bangle, I actually had to sell off 2x (out of 3x) of my Iron Bangle! Otherwise the duplication glitch can't work. Similarly I had to sell off 9x (out of 10x) of my Shinra Beta. All that grinding back in the Cargo Ship in Disc 1 for Shinra Beta turned out to be a waste of time! X((

it's not exactly rare, just missable. if you have somebody in your party that has enemy skill equipped, then chances are you will get it from the first dragon zombie you fight (since it uses the attack right before dying).

Wanna know a broken combo?? Give Tifa the power soul. Equip her with any armlet and give her the curse ring, in her armour materia slot, your gonna wanna give her the Destruct materia and an added effect materia, both next to each other (MUST BE CONNECTED MATERIA SLOT!!!) and watch the damage roll

Pandora's Box: You'll only ever encounter the Dragon Zombie once in the Northern Crater (unless you're on your way to Jenova at the end). It will cast Pandora's Box before it dies so kill it as quickly as you can. If it does not have enough MP, it will not cast, and you will not get the enemy skill. Do not try and use Ethers on it (I did this) as it is an undead enemy and it will take MP damage from the Ethers.

Personally, I like the Escort Gaurd armor over the zeitrich. It has six slots, good stats, and nulifies lighting, water, poison, and earth damage. Getting multiple copies are a bit tricky though, but its very helpful for the arena fights. Pair this with a ribbon and some crazy materia combos (Ex: Added effect+hades or choco on weapon) and you can have a very hard to kill character.

I would say that the easiest to miss is Barret's Ultimate weapon. It's in the staircase before Hogo boss fight at the end of disc 2. You only go there once and you need to have Barret in your Party to have the treasure chest appear. My last play through, it was the only thing I missed! I'm happy with only one full enemy-skill materia... not necessarily all four...

That's not quite right. You get Circlets in air battles and Reflect Rings in ground battles, with the exception of the story ground battle in Mideel. That is the only chance to steal the Curse Ring from Ultima Weapon.

That Dragon in the ass zombie took me half hour to get Shadow Flare & pandora box in all 4 enemy skills in one battle. Real pain is Dragon Zombie has very low mp and Zombie type creature that restoration mp will cut mp off instead. I got by using Reflect on Dragon Zombie then Magic hammer him and it reflect back to me so the Dragon can get MP

About Curse Ring other than put Contain-Added Effect in your armor you also can put Odin Summon-Added Effect to counter the effect as Odin is a Death Elemental summon.

yes but if pairing with tifas powersoul you dont get the bonus so what you want to do is cast death force or final attack revive on her to keep the chain of max damage especially early on, and if you use final attack revive but only have life1 you can ensure she is doing optimal damage

This is a great video for tracking missables! Thanks! There's only one thing that I caught that you got wrong - you don't actually have to level the Destruct materia up to get the Death effect from the Added Effect materia. This applies to all materia. You can get the frog effect from an unlevelled Transform materia as well, for example. So, while Hades would be a better choice, you could get a "Ribbon-lite" effect from putting Contain=Added Effect on your armour, gaining resistance to Stop, Confuse, and Petrify, even if the Contain materia is unlevelled.

The Dragon Zombie casts Pandora's Box when it runs out of HP so as long as you kill it fast enough it won't expend its MP and it will be able to cast it. You just need to make sure all four Enemy Skill materia are equipped because it can only use that skill once in the entire game.

pretty sure its patched inbsteam meaning its patched in ps4 but you can always boot a mod via 7th heaven thatll give you some fun playing as well as fixing a lot of the coding errors, theres even a slight mod fix for pc that allows your steal rate to be fixed so you can actually get vagyrisk claws from vagyrisk instead of the 2 useless items and the steal from behemoth as well ;) look it up i found it via looking for mods/walkthroughs etc on the steam ff7 community

the enemy gauntlet right before jenova can spawn dragon zombies, and it's possible to go all the way down the northern crater without fighting one until that point. that's probably why you remember- hell, you may have even used it on jenova yourself after acquiring the move.

you can also find shinra beta in the raid on shinra HQ wile you are heading up the floors. Seems there is a easy way to get pandoras box without having to wait for the rng to kick in, seems you just have to tose them an elixir so zombie dragon die instantly and it will cast pandoras as a final insult. you can try with a phoenix down, but with an elixir it guaranties it will have the mp to cast it.

behemoth horn is def in a perfect walkthrough, just because it isnt in some stratedgy guides doesnt mean it doesnt count, if you can obtain it, its required, also if playing a digital copy its good to make multiple saves so you can get the various diff key items in wall market and after you rescue aerith talk to the guy in the console and he will give you a useless keycard but its obtainable and missable but yeah everything you can obtain/level up is required for perfect run, INCLUDING MASTERING UNDERWATER MATERIA always made me salty there was no huge independent materia but there was one for summon magic and command, as well as support even if that wasnt obtainable to equip and that master command didnt allow you to have EVERY command i always figured a perfevt run required you to have 9 copies of every master materia and all weapons/armor/accessories for each character as well as maxxing them out and getting their lv4 limit so having aeris equiped with a multiobtainable weapon like strike staff so you can have a copy of each of her weapons in your inventory and on pc using yuffie warp to use witem glitch to get 99 of every item (including limit skills and initial weapons) as well as to have aerith for final fight at lvl 99 and after maxing everyones stats also having 99 of each source ;) though if you are going to pc then might as well play with mods and use things like black chocobo

To the best of my knowledge, you can only get it from the Gigas enemy, during Disc 2, when you're heading to Sephiroth/The WEAPONS awakening, at the North Cave. Gigas' appear rarely, and this is the only time you can get it.

It is possible to get Pandoras Box to get unflagged as being cast and get cast again, I don't know what causes this but I have had it happen on an old file I put way to much time into before. Wouldn't count on it though.

When you encounter Jenova Absolute, the game resets Pandora's Box flag. I never investigated this yet. Maybe it means a simple game over against Jenova, Bizzarro or Safer then reloading makes Dragon Zombie able to cast Pandora's Box again. That would be the case only if this flag uses one of the few temporary variables that are in the RAM but not in the save file (a soft reset doesn't erase these xD). If not, it means the only way is with a warp glitch.

I was recently trying to get White Wind and the enemy had spent all its magic power. I tossed an Ether at it and was able to cast on the next turn (it was manipulated). Maybe you can throw an ether at the Dragon Zombie after it casts a lot of spells to try to avoid it being out of MP when it attemtps to cast Pandora’s Box. I’m gonna try it but I’m a long way away from the Dragon Zombie atm.

Don't forget it's a ZOMBIE/UNDEAD dragon so instead of healing his MP you might end up taking away his MP...I don't know if it works or not cause I actually never tried it.

Arise zombie comment...but...Chocobuckle is super easy...lure a chocobo etc, check it's a multiple of 4 in lvl...use L4 suicide enemy skill on it by someone with the enemy skill materia you want to learn chocobuckle on...that removes 31/32 of its health and thus triggers it to counter with chocobuckle...job done.

Rob Duval I almost put it in as an honorable mention. But ribbons in general aren't rare. You can just morph a Tonberry into one. But you're right that one in particular is a hard find.

You don't seem to get how right you are since there are 3 Ribbons, if we don't count morphing. xD You get one as the reward of the 10th special battle in the Battle Square. Tonberry has an Elixir. That's Master Tonberry and Ho-Chu which have Ribbons. Tonberry can be encountered in the Battle Square and Master Tonberry in the Northern Cave.

depending on which stratedgy guide you have (i had/have the bradley official guide) it will or eont tell you about missable ribbon in secret room inaia vliffs i always thought i was the only one who knew about it,bumuchlie issing weapons like behmoth horn flayer and the stealable armor feom gigas and eagle gun there is much content you cant find unless you find the right guide or nowadays yt lol HOWEVER 7 is the game that keeps on giving did you know during your visit to 7th heaven if you press x button on pinball machine before it gets to the bottom or top you can ride it endlessly? there are so many new exploits glitches speedrun skips etc still being discovered to this day it really is the game that keeps giving a lot has acrually been showed cased by death unites us aka 4-8 productions on yt/discoed/twitch and there are some great mods via 7th heaven or in tge tsunamod community by greats like segachief (author of new threat) to name a few, i remember when the remako mod was huge, nah you want good graphic overhaul look up some of the upscales predownloadable with 7th h 2.0 as it only uses the best and most recent mods in its catalog so yoy dont have to go searching qhimm and nexus but will still run more obscure mods you may come across of corse i was really looking forqard to play final mix+ sadly it is so buggy and has since been abandoned :(

I know this is never going to get seen but it is possible to go back to the Gara’s Cliffs but not the Whirlwind Maze but I wouldn’t recommend it because you have to walk there and it’s a very long walk.

Chocobo Sage in the Winter resort area , there is a house inbetween a mountainrange , and if you talk to the mountain chocobo there ( either it drops it or it is lying on the floor )...

Nothing, except Items used, is permanent in the Battle Square: no Enemy Skills, no EXP, AP, etc... So Battle Square is NOT an option.
