I enjoyed this 10 ten video. even though I was aware of all of these (except treeko's beta) I still felt entertained. you went through them at a perfect speed. not too slow so it kept my attention and not too fast so it felt like each individual pokemon had been given enough attention to detail. The girl on the cover of the Japanese magazine looks like a water type gym leader. She wears a badge on her shoulder that has a water symbol on it, and her shirt is short sleeve, which suggests she is usually in hot or warm weather. What do you do in hot weather for fun? Swim. She looks like a tough opponent with her demeanor and stance, like she's ready for a battle any time and she's very confident in herself, which most gym leaders are. Also, the turtle guy above her is most likely a water type Pokemon, and the fact that it shows that Pokemon with her would highly suggest that she owns it. Just a theory though. I could be totally off.

The guy is almost definitely a dark type trainer! All his clothes are purple and black, which gives off an evil aura, and his hair is also black. (That doesn't mean much, but dark colors, dark types) and (main reason) his necklace wears the dark type symbol on it; a circle with another smaller circle inside is, but more towards the top. This one is more clear than the girl being a water type trainer.

I can't figure out whether the Pokedex entries are recorded by the player, the rival, or the professor. If the professor wrote them, then he/she wants you to gather even more information than he did. I like to think that the inconsistencies (Magikarp can only jump seven feet, but he can leap over a mountain) are because the player is only 10-16.

Prototype Treecko is pretty much a Treecko maturing very early. Also, Turtuga and turtle guy are the Pokemon equivalents of sea and land turtles. It'd be indeed awesome if turtle guy got re-introduced.

2:20 I think it would work great as regional pikachu variant, now that those are a thing, but I doubt they'd do that because pikachu is their mascot so they wouldn't want to replace it. I do see a way it could work though, I feel like regional variants shouldn't always replace the original pokemon in the region (some still should, but not all of them), instead you would find the variant in some parts of the region, and the regular one in the other parts or the region

I actually like the minimalist design of that first water pokemon. Compared to ditto it is actually quite detailed anyway. I prefer pokemon that have a unique style/concept rather than just trying to add spikes, fangs, claws and whatnot to try and make them look cool.

I created my own Pokemon once. Lugina. evolved from two lugias. it was a super rare legendary type. two head. four wings. two tails. it would have been nearly impossible to obtain one since you would have needed two lugias and a moon stone to cause them to combine into the evolved form

Love the video, but here's a suggestion: A sequel to the top animals that need a Pokémon version. In my opinion, the killer centipede would make an amazing Pokémon with the unique Bug/Dark typing. Or, and it might be because I live in Florida, but a manatee Pokémon would be so cool! Something similar to Lapras with the Water/Ice typing, a pure Water type, or a Water/Fairy typing would all suit this animal.
