Favourite Rolling Stones song is Doom and Gloom it's just so satisfying to hear after a shitty day or if something went wrong and it sums up everything bad that happens in the world from poverty, to war, even the video for it is very artistic. Possibly one of the Rolling Stones underrated tunes, but my favourite track in my opinion.

It was never one of my favourites originally, but I think Gimme Shelter is by far the best Rolling Stones song, and one of the best songs ever written. The best songs are often those that don't seem amazing at first, but get better with each listen. Its just such an epic song and there is nothing that sounds like it. Then again that could be said for many Rolling Stones songs.

I think it really epitomizes everything that makes them great - and it's probably why they've played it regularly on every tour since they wrote the song, which is not something that can be said for Satisfaction.

The cowbell on honkey took woman was played by their producer jimmy miller and you can hear that jimmy is playing off beat initially. That’s because on the first two takes he also played off beat on accident and it threw off the band, so on the third take(the one which became the song) Keith richards got fed up and just played along with jimmy’s cowbell instead of Charlie watts drumming to put him in time.
