It would be different if he was raised in a loving family that respected all people and creatures. Dumbledore told him that he was not a killer and he was right. Draco Malfoy was a confused young man who thought that he had to live up to his family name. That and the fact that he was naive. But of course when I first read the book, I hated him. 😜
