Matthew Perry was dealing with substance abuse problems for the first few seasons of Friends. Jennifer Aniston was able to get him the help he needed and he got sober, which is why he gained weight during the last few seasons. He admitted years later during an interview, that he couldn’t remember a good portion of working on the show because his addiction was so bad at the time. Glad he’s doing better now. He’s a talented actor and was one of the best characters on Friends.

The HIMYM finale to me, is one of the worst series finale in history for me, they ruined Barney's arc completely, which I really hate the writers for, and Ted + Robin never worked as a couple, ever - so why the writers thought it was a good idea to put them back together again - just wrong on so many levels

@cwbybri

Agreed. The ending *MIGHT* have worked if it went about 4 seasons. But after Robin and Barney getting together, breaking up, getting back together and the married made it difficult it swallow the ending. It took a whole season to get through one weekend, the Barney /Robin wedding. So it felt like as soon as they got married, they got divorced. And I was hoping the last season would be more about “the mom”. I saw the foreshadowing about her dying and I was already hating it. The entire 9the season is bad. The finale didn’t save it, it put an exclamation mark at the end.

Just an FYI-Andre Agassi is the one who filed for divorce. He knew the day they were getting married that he didn’t want to go through with it. That being said, he was definitely the bulk of the problem in the marriage. He was an emotionally barren self absorbed man baby. He had an extremely fragile ego. He was temperamental and aloof and deeply addicted to crystal meth throughout most of their marriage. He did Brooke a favor. They both went on to marry people to whom they were much better suited. Andre got off drugs and found a life outside of tennis and a way to do good for his community. Brooke of course is fabulous in all ways. 👸🏼

I’m surprised Step by Step wasn’t on here. Sasha Mitchell, who portrayed Cody, Frank’s nephew, was fired from the show when he was arrested and stood trial for domestic abuse. However, it was later revealed that his wife was the abuser and he was trying to save their kids from her abuse at the time he was arrested. He lost a lucrative career because of his arrest and conviction. And it was all a lie.

That 70s Show is an acceptable entry; However, Diff’rent Strokes is a stronger entry. All 3 kids were arrested at some point. Bridges and Plato had drug problems. Plato was written off the show when she was pregnant. Plato died at 34. Coleman at 42. I was worried that all the adults on the cast would outlive all the kids. Luckily Bridges seemed to get grounded and outlived the adults. Coleman has had problems with sexual harassment and assault. Coleman sued his parents for mismanaging his funds, and he left his parents out of his will. You probably could do a top 10 of controversies on those 3 kids.

The Friends entry is more about Agassi than it is about the show. Seems kind of a cheat to me. What about all of the kids in Diff’rent Strokes having issues? Mackenzie Phillips getting fired from One Day at a Time? Valerie Harper getting fired from Valerie’s Family? Norman Fell & Audra Lindley being promised to come back to Three’s Company if their spin-off failed (it did and the promise was broken). Or Last Man Standing getting canceled with rumors it was because Tim Allen was too pro-Trump?

For me it was the ending of "facts of life". While not tragic, it was a shame. Mindy Cohn and Nancy McKeon (jo and Nat) where not wanting A season 10, Which NBC first offered. Rather then do a proper ending for the 9 season series, NBC hung thier hopes on a spin off tryout with Blair buying eastland. To set it up, Mindy and Nancys characthers where rid of quickly. Jo was the worst: in 22 minuites, Jo went from dating rick, to engaged and a 1 minuite wedding. In 1 single episode. Despite a nice spin off idea as the finalie (and most likely the writers strike then) it never took off. Mayim Bialik would have been among the next gen of facts of life teens. So "facts of life" fizzled out more or less.

I actually really liked the ending to HIMYM, and it makes sense since most of it was his up and downs with Robyn. The way they dragged it on and executed it was poor and they should've taken notes from "Friends" and other sitcoms, where writers reconsidered their initial plans when the chemistry between other characters and character development was evident. Barney and Robyn were great, the Mother was a perfect casting, there was a point where the original ending didn't work anymore. In Friends, Chandler and Monica wasn't supposed to be a couple until the writers saw the audience reaction. In "Frasier", Niles wasn't supposed to be in love with Daphne, and so on. The writers changed as the series progressed and those writers should've done the same.

The scandals involving “Will & Grace” bothered me and I wish they would’ve just shut down the sitcom sooner rather than embarrass themselves. My opinion, seasons 1-4 of this show are absolute genius and I adore and watch them regularly. However, the move to marry off Grace was the beginning of the turmoil and it just never recovered. There are a couple a highlights, like the live episode from Karen’s bathroom in season 8 which was akin the the relationships early on in the run. Also, the handling of Rosie’s death in the reincarnation of the show are highlights. But it makes me so so sad how this show was destroyed. Very similar to “HIMYM” which you guys did address in this episode.

I loved Roseanne I've watched the series over and over again. It was funny and also dealt with problems that we may experience in our own lives. I don't except Roseannes behaviour and because of this she ruined the new series. It's such a shame because the series was great and the cast were perfect for the series. Why do people say such horrible things without thinking???😔💜 P.s. love your videos 😊💖

I think if Roseanne had said comments about Trump or his administration, rather than Obama and his, then she wouldn't have been kicked off the show.

I've said it once, and I will say it again. If Roseanne had been a Leftie, she would have not only not been fired, but applauded. Name me one Leftie, ONE, who has been fired from TV for what they did or said.

The one with Charlie Sheen still is somewhat of a twilight zone to me. You gotta admit that he carried the entire show! Allen became such an annoying character, the kid was nothing but stupid but Charlie was always awesome and even evolved. At least a little bit.

How is Puerto Rico Day Parade #1? You said it yourself, it's not even memorable and it's still on Netflix. This barely should have been an dishonorable mention. How is Roseanne behind it?

People paid good money to hear Michael Richards do stand up, not for some random in the crowd to show up late, interrupt the show, and be a smartass. Heckling is disrespectful and needs to be called out. It is disrespectful to the performer, and to the audience who paid to listen to his jokes. If this clown can't behave himself, he should have been thrown out, and the audience should have called him out. Instead this guy sooked up and cried "Racism!"

in my opinion when a main character is fired or dies thats a sign to end most shows especially if its done after many seasons replacing them rarely works and having their character die just changes the plot every show is different for example friends wouldnt of worked without a character or a actor change so it would of been cancelled fresh prince worked well enough to stay but abit disappointing 8 simple rules should of gone after paul's death

I don't really know the story behind Jo Marie Payton leaving Family Matters but I did not care for her replacement (Judyann Elder) on that show. She's not a bad actress and was just fine as Gina's mom on "Martin", but her casting on Family Matters is some of the worst casting I've ever seen.

HIMYM's ending was actually quite good, it was just the season leading up-to it that sucked. If they wrote the last season as him meetings her in the first or second episode then the first months of them dating then them getting engaged, then the final episode (pretty much) as aired it would have been perfect.
