KK is OK but her walk is a bit lumbered and missing something. It doesn't have the finesse or dynamic quailty of Tanya. To me Tanya is easily #1. Yes it a stomp walk but it's self assured and focused. Fluid with touches of finesse. She has more presence than KK. Tanya has this stern other worldly quality with an intense gaze that holds you. Also love Eva's early to mid 90s walk with her trademark bounce. She is distinctive which is the most important quailty for any model's runway walk.

@yes yes you made some good observation. KK is a little laid back and doesn't have strong enough personality for me. Not distinctive enough but she has an aura and charisma like you said. The reason why I rate Tanya highly is the stomp walk is my least favourite. Its urgency is never matched with grace or finesse. But this girl nails it, she brings something to it other girls can't do, Tanya is the best at it. It comes naturally to her and I guess a large part of her presence is down to how well she execute it and how at ease she is on the runway. Her aura may not be a strong as others but her walk is definately up there in any Top10 list.

@yes yes That's true about Gisele, her presence and aura is so unbelievable high. Its about her striking face and body. Her drunk walk still looks good because she has so much presence to pull it off. You know I am a fan of the twisting of the back heel so I like girls that can control this crazy off balance move on the runway. Talking of back heel twisting...Yes I like Vlada too and rate her highly. She too has her own personality on the runway. She is a light footed and gentle walker. Her energy is fairie x pixie x tinkerbell which gives her a unique identity on the runway. Her walk is solid, never forced and is one of the best from her era.

@yes yes I forgot to comment about Caroline, for a stomp walk she is good not rushed. Her best feature is the beautiful leg movement and how she lands her foot when she strides. Graceful yet strong. I have a question who first started doing the stomp walk? Who made it a fast stomp walk? Was it first seen in early 2000s by Gisele or another model?

The 00s is the era of Russian and Brazilian models if we are talking about dominating the catwalk. A separate list was made for Russian models because there are much louder and successful models among Russian models than among another Slavic countries. In terms of success, there was a one really successful model in Ukraine - icon Snejana Onopka, and in Russia - Natasha Poly (Queen of the catwalk), Natalia Vodianova, Vlada Roslyakova, Colette Pechekhonova, Eugenia Volodina, Sasha Pivovarova, Anna Selezneva, Irina Shayk and others. That's why Russian models have a separate list, because among them there were many successful models, most of them SUPERmodels.

Well KK's walk is calm and classy in these videos. But she can be fierce too, look at her versace runway videos. I think the ranking is not just about their walk, it's about their body of work. KK is massive and highly popular in 2001. She has completed top 4 vogue covers within a year. She might have slowdown now but she is still a force to be reckoned in the fashion industry. She definitely deserved the number 1 spot
