The fact that the 605r is top of the list is not much of a surprise. But I was shocked to see the azov Antarctic where it was on the list, I tried to use it and found it a bit too tippy for my liking. But then again Amur is the hardest region yet so every truck on this list has its tippy moments. I hope phase 5 is just a little bit more reasonable.

Antarctic is only good on flat terrain as it is extremely tippy. I only use mine to pull other trucks out of ice holes since it has70 inch tires that don’t get stuck in the ice as easily.

On your 10 best scout trucks... I've found the CAT 745 is the best scout I've found so far. It just goes places. Even very narrow gaps to lock it to a actual scout are often defeated by just driving through the forest or crawling up the rocks anyway. Its lack of speed in the open is countered by every map seems to put deep mud, snow, etc every couple hundred meters to ensure you can't settle into just going places. So just roll along in L+ and enjoy not slowing for deep mud.

The mk38 civilian and Azov 64131 are my favorite trucks. Though the mk38 is prone to tip, I've learned to master it and use it as my main recovery truck

If I had topped off the 605r when I got to it instead of towing it out I would have found that it unlocked when fully repaired and fueled. Instead I was one liter short and had to make it to the fuel station and back.

It was in the list for a while, especially as it's free. But I got annoyed at its spinny wheels more in Amur so it's sitting this map out lol. Definitely a top tier truck for most tasks!

While the kolobs have served me well in the past, urska river has forced me to change my opinion on them in terms of their quest efficiency due to them only being able to fit the high saddle. I always wanted a specific truck for hailing all 3 trailer types (high, low and tow hook) in the game... And with the azov 64131 having that gorgeous new skin, it gave me the perfect excuse to finally see what the hype was about... And it did live up to it. Say hello to my new trailer hauling truck! For nothing but a whole week I've been stuck fixing bridges, only to find one with one simple quest I could have saved a s*** load of time driving metal rolls up and down the map to get metal beams... Urksa river is the defenition of a troll and roll map

I agree with your list my only honorable mention would be Azov 5319 as I used it in multiplayer to help people get the white western star.i would take the central path and have someone bring a fuel truck and it would pull it back without problems but would require 2 refuelings to get back to garage.

Good truck list, personally I use new Sentinel for scouting; Voron Grad as a general purpose truck and for light trailers; Boar for long logs and sometimes for heavy trailers before I unlocked ZikZ and mentioned ZikZ 605r as also general purpose vehicle, for heavy trailers and in the future for seismic missions.

Ive had great experience using Tatra FORCE on Amur. It is slow, but its steady, can push through lot of stuff with chain tires, can use crane+bed+trailer combo and it has great combination of fuel efficiency and massive tank.

Zikz 605r is also capable of self loading crane, the xml file is already present in the media, but devs had removed it, you just need to add it back and adjust some offsets x,y,z. There might be a mod out for this already.

My usual setup for this map is: Tayga, Zikz 605R, Antarctic, Kolob 74941, Azov 64131 with a crane, Cat 745C+Kodiak as maintenance vehicles and Navistar with chains for the icy patches. Also big ole Tartarin, just for good measure

It was no easy task but I was able to unlock the ZikZ 605-R. Since I have unlocked it, I have used it more than every other truck on the game. It has been great for making easy money on contests in the Drowned Lands and Zimnergorsk maps in the Taymyr region. It also has done really good in the Yellow Rock National Forest in Maine over the frozen flooded roads.

Tbh currently using 49x in Chernokamensk crane and side board but 4 cargo smaller truck but heavy winch put the axle down to assist in braking down ice slopes

Well I learnt a few things watching that, thanks! The big paystar I never thought of trying a fuel tank so did not know it was extended. Hmm. I did give the Arctic a good try but could not get on with it. Totally agree regards the twinsteer too, great piece of kit, and the kolob long nose is just steady and unstoppable. Maps seem more detailed too I thought. Still love my fully upgraded acteon with a fuel trailer on for scouting. Cheers!

Don't blame you, you get the challenge and cool looks with more satisfaction. I actually really enjoy the Iceberg for just cruising. Some vanilla trucks are just too slow in deep snow and mud, which is realistic but sometimes I want some speed!

After getting all of the "vanilla" vehicles and grinding it out for many, many maps, it really is nice just to pick a cool looking rig point it in a direction and go. Word of warning... DO NOT take that tempting little shortcut down the power lines close to the garage!!! I did it once in the Modded Antarctic... never again ;)

It really changes so much the Azov 73210 with the new suspensión? I think i agree with you with all trucks, except the tayga, and the DAN, is long and loves to scratch the stomach on the rocks

I use Tatra T813 for 1. because I'm Czech, and I think it's great that he's in that game, and that I can drive a legendary Czech truck 2. I think it's not a bad truck, and he can handle a lot of snow and mud, and almost nowhere did he leave me standing in place 3. It is true that he is slower but he comes to me accurate and sure, and that he passes slowly everything that turns out to be, albeit slowly, but passes 4.this his horn is simply divine. I believe that it is not the best truck, but it is simply Czech love.

One thing I don't like when it is the garage the wheels look bent, like pointing out. Sold it for 200k as I have the other new Tatra phoenix and the big beast Tatra. Too bad you can use only high saddle would be cool if low saddle too.

Absolutely! I used it to unlock the tunnel between Urska River and Cosmodrome, it was perfect! You just need to be careful with tipping, but otherwise it is a monster.

The Kolob 74760 actually has a bit more torque that the other Kolob. They are so heavy until they have to switch to gear 1 or 2 more often, they're certainly not lacking in power. In fact, the 74760 appears to have more torque than what it's rated for. Because the tires aren't unique. Aside from the Zikz and the Dan, they are certainly the most potent at pulling super heavy trailers with anything on it. And aside from the Zikz 605r, the Kolobs are the best non-mod trucks for pulling trailers in Snowrunner.

Yes it's probably the tyre bonus, but for some reason I just find I have more success in some of the other heavy trucks. I love how the Kolobs look so I keep revisiting them.

In terms uf utility the Paystar 5600TS beats your "Swiss Army Knife" the Azov 73210 - 3 cargo slots + ability to pull a 4 slot trailer is unrivaled and makes it the "swiss army knife king" :-) I also think with its low center of gravity + superstrong engine and wheel setup, it performs the same as the 73210 in harsh terrain. I use these two trucks the most atm and both are great. I prefer the 73210 for heavy special trailers, but a fully loaded 5600TS + trailer never cease to amaze me how it plows through harsh terrain...mostly in high gear even. Because of their similar performance the would make a good showdown pair ;-) Anyway, your my go to Snowrunner channel, great work!

In my case the tayga, Voron A and regular azov anatartic mostly but if i need a rescue then out comes one of the jbe;s or the tweaked anatartic mod truck (which I just tipped over trying to take a short cut lol)

As always awesome vid, I never thought I would say this but... the krs Bandit is actually not that bad on phase 4 maps, the Azov 5319 goes through death mud and death ice with ease, but it’s thirsty.

The bandit is awful when it’s not loaded, but if you use it as a long log carrier it’s pretty much the best truck for that. Shorter than others, not that thirsty and not as tippy with logs.

@@ratonbox Adding weight helps indeed but even for the cargo beam delivery I found it wasn't as capable as I remembered. I might be inclined to swap to offroad in future use as I did with the Tayga.

That's the Iceberg, but the mod that tweaks the measurements is also more versatile. Worth giving both a look.

It's the mighty azov iceberg, the mod was off for an update, it's back now with more frames. So far that's the best truck I've ever used and I wouldn't use other moded trucks

That's one of the best mods to run this map. Azov Iceberg, you can basically use it as a scout all the way. I got two. One with sideboard and the other with the repair cargo unit.

Why does nobody love the Azov 5319? I explored all of lake covid and imandra with it (with the stock engine btw) and am now doing all of Amur, with the service add on it basically becomes a big scout, yet nobody talks about it

What if running an American-only fleet? Currently I just explored all map, now is repairing roads and restoring facilities. I use F750 as primary scout, Loadstar 1700 as radar scouting, 6900TS and 5700TS for transporting.

Really solid fleet, that's what I'd use. 1700 is a great scout still, F 750 for repairs, the other two for cargo. Job done!

​@@ATribeCalledCars F750 can carry more fuel and repair, so I use it as primary scout. 1700 can tow radar, so I usually let them go out together. 1700 only drive radar on main road, then F750 goes off road. It appears that the radar is quite heavy, 1700 often has hard time with it. American fleet lacks 2 things compare to Russian fleet: 1 6WD mud tire truck with crane+bed capability; 2 6WD or 8WD saddle high tractor. Yes they already have Paystar 5070 , P12 and Longhorn 4520, but all of them lack power. You may probably surprised that in my fleet, M916A1 actually works as the heavy tractor. It proves its heavy tractor capability in the task , which indeed surprised me. I don't know what DEVs was thinking to remove MK38's frame add-on capability, it supposed to be a true competitor of Tayga.

KOLOB 74760 needs more love i think. I tried to pull some stuff with CAT 745C and it couldnt. The same job was done with KOLOB. Btw wheres the luv for F750? As a scout its pretty good (dont compare to tatarin :P )

I really want to love the 74760 but it never wows me. But perhaps I'm a bit harsh! F 750 is a great scout repair beast, for sure. Especially since the devs added the engine it needed to beef up the power.

@@ATribeCalledCars kolob is great just for the power it can make and since i fell in love the bigbig semi-trailer (8 space trailer) i dont think there is a better choice for it. Using in the hardest parts i mean and with som effort i can get it everywhere. There are still places where i use cat 745C to winch it but doesnt matter what truck it is its impossible to get through without 745c big wheels. And yep im still a virgin at using mods :D

I think it depends on skill level, what you enjoy and the map. I'm glad I used the vanilla trucks for most of the first year but some trucks can be tedious in the later maps. It's tough balancing maps to be doable in the weakest trucks while still giving a challenge to the OP mod stuff. Amur does this well, especially on console when your mod selection cuts out some of the most ridiculously OP stuff such as the WS 714WM. But yeah some trucks can take away the grind, which does actually help you improve and forces you to really learn each map.

Even when using a crane to load? That's usually what you need to do for the crane less trucks with a cargo bed.

Any chance of a Best trucks for Hard Mode? all too easy to get any truck you want in Normal, but in hard mode, you wont have the money for them until you've fully completed a Map

I've not played hard mode enough to work this out but I'd imagine I would focus on the Fleetstar, Tayga, 64131, 420 Tatarin and Cat 745C. Would give me the greatest chance of success I think!

@@ATribeCalledCars on my hard mode playthrough which ive restarted several times now from rolling or getting stuck all my starter vehicles ive decided to stick to roads and try to unlock the P16 early. The tayga im leaving for now due to the cost of garage deployments and repair trailer. Im trying to get through not wasting any money at all if poss. As getting more trucks is the most important thing as more trucks is more lives. I think the first truck i will buy will be Azov 64131. Thanks to your videos and testing. Cheers! :)

@@ATribeCalledCars I'm sorry, curious what's the "other side"? Russian side? Well, AutoKrAZ is a factory in a Kremenchug city of Ukraine. And the "KrAZ" itself is a abbreviation to Kremenchug Avtomobilnyi Zavod (which means Kremenchug Automobile Factory). The only "other possible side" that can "claim rights" - is USSR, which fortunately doesn't exist anymore. But even then, the city were still in Ukrainian Republik, it never "moved geographycally". Calling KrAZ - russian is the same as calling "Irish Pub" - british ... because reasons :D

I have been experimenting with a lot of trucks, mods and so on. The game is becoming super "trolly" and forces gamers to go for low+ which is a shame. The Zikz605R is a beast, but I used a modded P512W today to haul in Chernokamensk and man that thing runs great. I have fuel all over the place and how now opened all obstacles. The amount of undercarriage damage is crazy, and I am not even going that fast. But switch to High gear and you seem to be hitting rocks where there are none.

Yeah there seems to be a certain speed where damage just happens too easily regardless of terrain. Been like that since day one. Bit of a pain.

These will definitely work. I actually had the HX 520 and CT on my preliminary list but they do take a bit more effort to work in Amur. But always best people play the game as they want to! Meant to be fun and all that.

It will be a slow slog, especially if you do not have decent upgrades such as mud tyres, raised suspension and better engines. I'd enjoy other maps first and build up the fleet and level.

@@dunkenhunter167 Whatever truck you can upgrade to those upgrades as early as possible. The Tayga 6436 is a beast but will require a higher level to utilise. Dan 96320 also strong and available early on, CAT 745C for rescues. All not hard to get in the early days.

@@dunkenhunter167 Yes, all trucks can be used in any map. You just have to pack it in the garage (I forget the exact name), then swap map and unpack in the new garage location.

I was late to hop into the new maps. My first 90 seconds as follows: "oh a new scout, better fully upgrade it and get the watchtowers" leave garage, turn left, fall into a giant fucking crack in the ground. Shit. Side note, i couldnt "scout" a fucking thing with a scout on that map. Except the tatarin ofc. As for what I use, i use a small cluster of US military mod vehicles. One of them is the derry longhorn and its basically jesus on wheels.

The kolobs, are stiff as an wooden wooden planks. The get's stuck really easy on rocks. Dan has an more soft frame. Following the ground way better. When the kolobs just bounce around. And then the chain tires.

@@MarkNiceyard Ahh my apologies, I misunderstood. It's a DLC that contains a new area with two or four new maps, new trucks and sometimes other stuff too such as new stickers. Seasons can be bought separately or as a group of four as part of the year passes (there are three and a fourth is coming).

This DLC is nearly impossible and makes a few KM trip take 30mins. That's fine, except when those portions are every few hundred meters, and worst-of-all, you can't catch a single good route, nothing for semi-trailers, next to nothing for regular trailers, and a whole lot of poorly placed stumps and obstacles that are clearly meant to throw a wrench in every cog possible. I would not recommend people buy this, unless they're skilled, patient, and looking for a sheer challenge throughout the entire map. I left the region after struggling for 3 days to even build the bridges. Not sure if I did something, or everything wrong, but I wish I could get a refund and warn others about this unexpectedly difficult DLC; this has ruined the game for me massively, wasting money sucks.

Only to add shitty non usable vehicles that only do the same thing. We call it snowrunner use Ice but never give you real spiked ice tires too put trees in the middle of roads
