I was thrilled to pull the Zapdos SIR in my first handful of 151 packs, definitely the most dynamic artwork from the set. Honestly I’m shocked that more people aren’t into the IRs from Scarlet & Violet era, imo they’re the best yet. Doesn’t surprise me that the big three from 151 are steadily climbing since release.

Yeah some IRs and SIRs are surprisingly cheap! Considering it’s what people have been wanting for years it’s weird that they aren’t worth much lol but eventually they’ll grow. Especially PSA10s. I feel most IRs aren’t the best condition out of pack!

Pull rates are definitely killing SIR prices, some are quite easy to pull (e.g OBF Charizard). Compared to alt art from SWSH, SIRs are in some cases 2 to 3 time easier to pull so there are much more SIR cards out there. So it makes sense that prices are not going high.

Man I agree. They really need to make them tougher. lol we’ve been spoiled a bit with such easy hits. I’ve opened around 40 packs of Obsidian Flames and hit 3 SIR cards…. Opened probably 100 packs of Lost Origin and haven’t pulled any Alt Arts LOL these cards will be dirt cheap for a few years IMO

@@Trevor-TCG I opened around 100 packs of 151 and pulled 2x Charizard ex SIR. Similarly with Paldea Evolved, I opened 3 ETBs and pulled 4x SIRs including Iono. With SWSH you have to open on average 200 packs to have a chance to get a single alt art.

@@Jerem_5960 yeah pull rates are waaay to easy for SV but Atleast the cards are cool lol! Awesome you got 2 zards! I’ve opened about 100 packs too and pulled venasaur and zapdos SIR

They have changed drastically in the last month. When this came out you could 2-3 of the most expensive charizards in 200 packs. Now you could pull 2000 and not get 1… it’s insane. eBay you can buy all cards normal and reverse and the rest for $600-$800. That saves you 1000’s and 1000’s of dollars to collect then all. It’s crazy why people would pull packs

Word on the street is 151 is slowly gonna be harder and harder to find. They want in a way to make this rarer as it is the OG Pokemon. I think that’s a good idea. Not all these sets need to be a 2 year cycle. Packs are already impossible to find besides ETB and promo packs. Trying to find a 36 pack box or bulk is way to expensive

Just completed the 151 set, I feel like sealed will do really well out of all the sets since they have semi god packs

I just pulled the Obsidian Flames Alt Art Charizard from the combined powers collection box that came out a few weeks ago and it's definitely one of my favorites too! I absolutely love the art! But I think I'd like the art from the Paldean Fates one just a bit more because imo, it looks a bit cooler in the black color I'd say.

Nice! I deff think it's one of those cards that look better in person too! I think shiny charizard is awesome but something about his face on the Paldean Fates version is weird to me lol looks too much like a salamander IMO! but I'm sure it's an amazing card once you see it in person!

You're forgetting the main charzard out of all of them bro, paladean fates charzard which is the hardest on to pull which is why its holding great value

Yeah I was only focusing on 2023 in this video, honestly that one is my least favourite but I understand why it’s everyone’s favorite. Cool card, and yea toughish to pull. It’s dropped and will drop more over time tho. The set is less than 2 months old. It’ll keep going down I’d imagine

personally I'm trying to skip buying any sir/ir for a good while and focusing in on alt arts/sealed from swsh idk if you noticed but all alts are up rn with exception of a few the market is slowly moving north on alts as we speak. Once I have some more cash i'm gonna try to wrap up the cards i've been wanting doubles on :D already got 9x celebi v alts might get 9x more of those

Good shout. SIRs will stay low for a long while. I think alt arts should be the focus. I’m trying to pick some up but it’s a bit harder here in rural Canada. A lot of eBay sales have like $20 shipping fee if they come from America LOL so next card show I’ll scoop a bunch!

gotta move fast on the alts you want rn i'd imagine by end of year we'll see very different prices real soon the market hasn't gone all in on the current prices yet for most part this is the buyers market at least for rn it's hard for me to wrap up my alt list since it's a few thousand dollars of stuff i want...i'll definitely miss boat on some stuff tbh but for most part will be wrapping up specific wants ideally too finish my alt collection by december latest for this year @@Trevor-TCG

I like that a lot of them are cheap but I think it’s cause my excitement to open packs to drop. The artwork is cool so it’s still fun when you rip a pack and hit something but when most the IRs or even SIRs are the same price as a pack it feels like the smarter thing to do is just buy all the cards

i'm not sure why the special illustration rares are so cheap. The artwork is popping. I still think prices are more due to broader economy and people just not having money to buy cards vs. over printing and pull rates

I think it's probably a combo of all 3, I feel they are easier to pull. usually you get 1 or 2 per booster box but people arent spending money lol even with them cheap nobody is scooping them up so alot of this SV stuff will stay cheap until the economy corrects
