The PuppetMaster was beautifully done. Someone also made a point that her escape is why Katara’s mother was probably killed. After she had escaped and began blood bending, they knew they could no longer keep them prisoner safely.

i have never seen watership down, nor have i heard of it until a year or two ago. however, it is the embodiment of my strangest fear. when i was young, i had a dream of a hoard of rabbits violently mauling my sister to death and eating her alive. the dream ended with a rabbit looking at me, regurgitating a whole eyeball, and jumping at me, which scared me awake. now i have a deep fear of rabbits being violent. this movie is something the devil made to remind me why living is torture

One of the other spooky cartoon episodes would be Samurai Jack Season 3 Episode 9: Jack and the Haunted House. The atmosphere and ambiance looked like something out of a Fatal Frame game. There was a lot of creepy imagery that made my heart squeeze, and I could feel the emotions that Jack was feeling while he was encountering these disturbing scenes. I loved it, but it really scared me.

Double Aura they built a rollercoaster and had their friends ride it. Normally it takes a long time to build a rollercoaster and they do numerous safety checks to make sure nobody gets hurt or dies so I can see why she got mad.

I like some of these spooky animations. Gravity Falls and Steven Universe have episodes that are really creepy and with good animation. Some episodes of Steven Universe that are really scary are the episode where Steven became a mass of cats, the episode where he and Peridot went to stop the Cluster from destroying Earth, and the episode where Steven is stuck with a murderous Ruby in space.

Steven the Sword Fighter was the creepiest for me, Pearl getting stabbed, Steven begins hanging out with her attacker which is basically a clone of herself, then the clone cuts Pearls favorite tree down and starts attacking Steven. It also has one of my favorite lines in Steven Universe... *I got hit by an airplane!*

Disclaimer: Alma isn't actually a Pixar short. it was just made by an ex-Pixar animator. As for other suggestions, I'd probably add the MLP episodes Party of One and Lesson Zero. For similar reasons, since both of them basically revolve around a character slowly losing their mind and turning into complete psychopaths, and for pretty trivial reason (Because they think all their friends don't like them anymore in the former, and because they're desperate to find a problem to solve so she can write her assignment). And this insanity certainly leads to some creepy imagery, and in Lesson Zero, some definite "I need an adult/ I AM an adult!" moments.

I'd also add 'Ludo in the Wild' from Star vs the Forces of Evil. The show is usually a very action-packed, humorous, witty, relatively lighthearted fantasy show, until Toffee came along and things started to get serious. And in this episode, where we see what happened to Ludo after his castle was destroyed, we learn that he spent days floating through nothingness before finding himself alone and forced to fend for himself in the wilderness. And as the days go on and he begins to gain control of things, even gaining a few wild animals as minions, we see it's clearly taking a toll on his mind, to the point where he ends up chasing a hallucination of Star until he comes across what appears to be a magic wand made of a severed skeletal hand gripping a gemstone. The whole episode is scored by weird, creepy ambient music, the likes of which you might hear in a dungeon or cave in Minecraft or something. It really gives the whole thing a very unsettling atmosphere.

I honestly love when creepy/horror elements make it into kids entertainment. Because when done right we can get some dark but clever results. Like Return to Oz (a movie I highly recommend). Stuff like this shaped my childhood and I am happy for it.

There's a British kids cartoon called Grizzly Tales For Gruesome Kids. You SHOULD have included this series. It's pretty much Tales From The Crypt if it was English, animated, and aimed at younger audiences. I think it probably would have tied with Courage in terms of its position.

I actually think the most disturbing was the Lich episode though I would give Lemonhope the runnerup. Because for once you saw Finn truly helpless and unable to save the people he cares about. This was even more disturbing considering the Lich ended up wearing Billy's skin in order to trick Finn. Not only that but he actually succeeded in destroying all life and Jake had to make a wish to Prismo in order to reverse what the Lich had done. So we have a ghost wearing a dead guy as a suit and he even possesses princess bubblegum and nearly kills Finn on more than one occasion.

No joke, I have Watership Down on DVD - found the movie through KZbin and decided to get my own copy after watching it, it's one of my favorite obscure animated films. If you enjoyed it, I would recommend The Plague Dogs, same author and same director (and even a few of the same voice actors) but not quite as bloody, just disturbing and tragic. On an unrelated note, there's a German animated film from 1994 called Felidae, I'd give it a go if you ever do another list like this. I've noticed most people watch it immediately expecting it to be something like Aristocats but I should clarify that it is anything but XD Basically it starts off with some mild Don Bluth vibes then quickly delves into Silent Hill-level gore. Definitely not a good idea if you have a weak stomach but it's worth a watch if you're into dark or bizarre animation.

The first Weirdmageddon was fantastic, it was a Mad Max style episode. The way i will describe Weirdmaggedon 3 is like this: Well, in conclusion, some might say that there are redeeming factors to this episode. The music’s pretty cool, and the animation is fantastic. Some might call it a mixed bag. But let me tell you what kind of mixed bag. It’s a trash bag that’s had a bad day. Like, say your mom cleans out the cat litter. Fresh and stale doody pebbles go right in the bottom of the bag. And then your sister throws out her used tampons, and where do they go? In the same bag. And then your brother comes home, piss-ass drunk, just upchucks, pukes right into the bag! Now, I’m not trying to be disgusting, but that is a realistic situation, and what it all comes down to, THAT'S A NASTY BAG. But I’d rather take that shit out to the garbage than deal with this piece of fuck! Fuck this episode, get out of my face! and Weirdmageddon 2 sucks. That's everything you need to know.

Obviously me. I mean I saw the first episode when I was 7 in 2015 when I walked in the living room while playing on my DSi. I was playing sonic rush and I'm pretty sure I was on Water Palace. Oh,coincidence,the episode I saw was actually Dark Harvest. It was during the takeover and I heard disturbing yet familiar talking. It was coming from the TV and I was confused,so I looked at the TV. I just saw this women's brain get replaced with a can with the word "POOP" poorly written on it. That sent many shivers down my spine and I just couldn't watch. I tried to go back to my game but now it was stuck in my head. That night my brother who was watching it and put it on said "If you never had a brain,you would be dead." That of course made me even more paranoid. I slept with my mom,because I never had a bedroom until mid 2016. I held onto my mother tight,and I still couldn't dare to view my TV the same way,till this day. And I wouldn't dare to even watch a few seconds of 1 episode of the show. I'm obviously less scared than I was. But I still can't watch.

Dragon Ball Z - The entire Garlic Jr. saga - Picture this, a world overrun by vampire-like creatures caused by a deadly mist and terrorising the world, having stuff like Chi-Chi beating up Gohan. Star Wars: The Clone Wars (08 version) - S02E7 and 8 - Legacy of Terror and Brain Invaders - Zombie making worms and, of course, Anakin stepping closer to the dark side, as seen by his treatment of Poggle. Batman: The Killing Joke - Based on the comic alone, it's definitely the most surreal and spookiest Batman story ever made. Too damn bad that it's the film where Bruce Timm totally lost it with... that ONE sex scene that made every Batman fan puke like Brian Griffin.
