The immense popularity of the El Classico clubs have different reasons which affected being in this list or not. Real Madrid got its fame at the modern period was large down to the Galatico policy, just buy their way into success. This way tend to attract a lot of hatred. Whereas in Barcelona's case, their recent success relied on large chunks of self produced players. People often admire self reliance and with distinct Barca way of play is such pleasure to watch!

Here are my teams (and I am a Miami Native): 1.Los Angeles Lakers (Became a fan of this team because I really grew a disgust towards Bostonians on social media and in person. Also, because they are historically successful. 2nd favorite team:Miami Heat they are consistently entering the playoffs and play well (even when they don't make it to the finals). Also because they don't like Boston either. 2.New York Giants (reason being is because they beat Miami's most hated rival in their division twice in the Super Bowl "the New England Patriots") 2nd favorite team: Houston Texans Might move to Houston in a couple of years (loved it when I visited) and would want to see them win a title since they are an up and coming underdog that plays well. I’m a Red Sox fan. I’ve been one since 1999 and I can tell you from personal experience, I’ve had problems with other fans, I went into GameStop once in my home town and a guy in his late 30s or early 40s held he door for me, he was very friendly to me because I wore a Red Sox. He preceded to tell me he’s a patriots fan to which I replied. “Bleh I like the Eagles man”and his entire demeanor changed. He preceded to ask what was wrong with me, and told me “I’m not a Red Sox fan I’m a wannabe”. After I left him at that he continued to make comments at me while I was browsing inside the store and before he left he walked up and said “You know what, you might as well just give me that hat” while standing right in front of me fulling expecting me to be fearful enough to give it to him. YANKEES FOR LIFE we have had many World Series yeah but we also are one of the longest franchises so we've kind of had an advantage. Not to mention the countless ledgends. I have respect for every team but Yankees reign supreme in my book. But think of it, 1. All teams are professional which means they are better than everybody else 2. We haven't just had 27 World Series we went on a streak. The only decade we haven't won was in the 80's. 3. TBH I don't like this one but we have more money than any other team so we technically have advantages So yeah Yankees have always been my favorite but that doesn't mean every other team is bad (except Red Sox)

Anyone want to explain why the Cleveland Cavaliers are on as an honorable mention? For those that bash the Cavs, just a PSA, there are two types of fans out there: Those who are fans because they live in Cleveland and support all of the local teams like the Indians and Browns (myself included) and those who are just fans of LeBron James and will follow whichever team he is a part of. Bulk of the fans you find today if you go back in time 5-6 years ago were probably Miami Heat fans if you ask them the same question.
