Dude there was more stoning going on there than at a Doobie Brothers Concert. Keep up the good work man....That ling brings back a funny memory. We were out diving some rigs in the gulf and I drilled a 45lb cobia. There were a few tax collectors around so I opted to get him in the boat. When I shot that fish he never even twitched . Got him in the boat and in the cooler. Covered hi. With ice. Got gear back on and headed down when all the sudden it sounded like someone was beating the boat apart. I went back up and Mr. Ling had come back to life in a big way. He had kicked the cooler lid up and was throwing ice and blood everywhere. Ever since then I never put one in the boat until it is spiked. Lesson learned.

I know I would support it, bet a bunch others would too. Keep up the great work and have a Happy New Year.

Yes I have had several request for more rod and reel fishing, the truth is I don’t go out of my way to film videos, I film videos when I’m already going out anyways. If that makes sense. Lol The conditions have been great for Diving lately so I’ve been doing a lot of that but I promise you I will be back to rod and reel fishing before too long! And I have had some people mention that I will look into it I’m not even completely sure what it is to be honest!
@MillaTK3 жыл бұрын
@@KeyWestWaterman The spearfishing stuff is great too, Im just a little biased. Love the catch and cook videos as well. Patreon is just a site that allows people to subscribe and give a monthly amount. Usually there are tiers and some content creators offer different perks for higher tiers, but its not necessary. Just a way for us fans to support the creators we love and gives them a chance to be able to make more content. A lot of effort goes into filming and editing, so its a way to give back, in addition to any youtube revenue.

Watching this back in Michigan's upper peninsula (currently 18 degrees) after a 20 day trip visiting my parents in little torch key. Love your videos and I've learned so much from them! I was able to get a nice red grouper, big mangrove, a few big yellow jack, and a handful of ceros. I was actually more successful diving for fish than we were hook and line and showed my dad one of your commercial breakdowns and he was pretty into the no by catch aspect!

Simply awesome! Love the way you describe what's happening. Also appreciate you for treating the fish the way they should be treated. I've watched too many videos whether it fishing off a boat or on a river where they just throw the fish on the deck and let it suffocate to death. I have to agree with Lewis Lambert below, the Wahoo stone shot was awesome. Also, when I swim to the bottom of my 8' pool, my ears pop. Hard to fathom going 90' down! I like your point about not making the fish suffer. Fish have no way to show us their suffering, so they tend to not pull on the heart strings like other animals. The whole catch and release aspect of sport fishing is in denial about that point. One of the main reasons I like catching my own fish is that I know they died a good death. #2 for me, love the wahoo, such a fast growing fish and sustainable compared to grouper.
@KeyWestWaterman3 жыл бұрын

What most impresses me is your ability to go to 100" and still have enough air to hang around for few then return to the surface. really enjoyed this show, thanks! All your shots were impressive. I’ll admit, the grouper in the rock pile was captivating. I wonder if I was the only one holding their breath while you were extricating the fish outta that hole?! Thanks again for sharing with us and look forward to viewing more. Wondering if you ever work with Steel Rockett? I also admire his work very much. Regards, keep safe

haha happy to hear that! those are always fun shots! and I dove with him a few times a long long time ago! but he mainly does scuba and commercial stuff. I've since running more charters than anything!

It's all good.....I just enjoy "hanging" while you are on the water....my favorite was the grouper with the moray eel investigating, the unicorn shot.....I like all your stuff:cooking, cleaning, lobsters, deep stuff, shallow stuff, clean water, dirty, spearing, lines, all of it.... Keep in mind, I live in Northern Minnesota, over the last 12 hours we have 10 inches of new snow, the temperature has dropped from 30 to 10F, and there is a steady wind at 15 with gusts to 23 making it feel like -10F.....Ya.....it is nice to see open water, the sun, and tropical green plants..... One thing that I would like to see: do you ever harvest shellfish:conch, scallops, sea urchins, snails....and the corresponding cooking of them or sushi.

haha seriously do appreciate all the positive feedback! really does keep me going! and man that sounds chilly!!! and the only shellfish we can legally harvest is lobster and crab, conch is prohibited, we dont have scallops, urchins im honestly not sure. I know will would know more about urchins than myself but can maybe come up with something for ya!
