I'm still crying for Eddie, bob, etc. And there's a lot of stranger things characters that deserve better that i think you missed. Billy Hargrove - abusive father, abandoned mother, "dead but not forgotten". Victor creel - played by Robert englund. A sympathetic man frame by the murder of his family... gouged his own eyes out. The creel family - except Henry of course. Jim hopper - his daughter died, he nodded for the sacrifice and taken to a Russian prison in Alaska, the part we're he gave us his backstory, Chief hero!. @@andrewwilkes2807 No, he didn't. You are right. I do have a theory that Victor wasn't coincidentally pulled out of his vision. I believe it was somehow deliberate. Why? If you look at Victor's memory of the house (and hear his voice over), you barely see or hear any thing about Henry. He may have been blindsided by everything that happened, but that is the point. When you see Henry's memory of the house (and hear his voice over) it is, of course, different but there is one key thing that he says that stands out. Although his mother "pushed" him to the edge by threatening (or maybe from her point of view, desperately telling) Henry she was going to have him put away, he never mentions anything about his father saying anything. Once more, in Victor's recollection, everything is just happening randomly (EVERYTHING). This shows quite a bit of neglect of Henry by his father.

I loved Eddie Munson. His character development was so pure. I actually cried when he died. Max however, didn't make this list and yet she was so pivotal to the series. That's criminal. It broke my heart to see her in a coma at the end. She lost her step brother and her parents split. How much more does she endure before getting her due?

Aside from his speech about ‘Eleven’; What he said to Mike at the junkyard about loving someone and struggling to express it; him blowing off that girl who flirted with him in class; Jonathon telling him how nothing about him will ever stop him from loving his little brother; and how he’s afraid being ‘different’ will make others treat him like a freak, in a time when being gay wasn’t as accepted as it is today. He is then taken hostage by the russians and is tortured and hurt himself just to get out. And he does it all for others and not himself

Steve did deserved better despite that in Season 1, he had a redemption ark and in Season 2 and 3, he’s been beaten up. What I think makes Steve iconic is his humor, his big-bro & little-bro dynamic with Dustin which I personally love throughout the show, and Steve being the babysitter to the kids. I'm genuinely shocked that Max wasn't on there. She's been through alot, she'd be like the 3rd or 2nd one. Her step brother died. She got abused by him a bit. Her dad is a loser, her mom doesn't care nor talk to her, no one really liked her in season two, she's depressed, she's under Vecna's curse, she is convinced that she is responsible for her brother's death, she's been possessed 2 times, and I could probably gone on a bit longer. All of them deserved better that's clear but to be fair, Eddie was treated as a main character by the creators, he is the center of one of the greatest sequences on the show and died as a hero so, even if they decided to kill him, he was written with love and respect. Barbara on the other hand is what I call "mistreated by the creators". She died on the first episode being a gentle third wheel and nobody took a minute to remember the poor kid... Anyway, now I'm just waiting for Karen Wheeler to get rid of that "man-couch" she chose as husband.

Are we seriously still on the whole Mom Steve thing? It's been confirmed that he is Babysitter Steve, not Mom Steve. I don't even know where the mom thing came from, especially since Steve is always saying he is a babysitter, not a parent. Even in Season 2 he says to Nancy that he is a terrible boyfriend, but a good babysitter. Don't know where everyone got mom out of babysitter from that line.

I felt so bad for him because his life basically got screwed over by a freaking monster that the town couldn’t physically see, which meant he wouldn’t be able prove his or Victor Creel’s innocence. It's funny how what Stranger Things is now wasn't the initial plan for the show. Each season was planned to be centered around a different cast of characters tackling with strange occurrences that are all connected somehow. The original cast is beloved no doubt, but many of the characters we see in the show that get sidelined or die were planned to have bigger roles ultimately expanding the Stranger Things cast and thickening the plot. It's hard to think that's what Stranger Things could of been but it shows when rewatching certain scenes, like the opening to Season 2 would be the start of Eights story which was planned to be much bigger than how it turned out in the end.

Honestly I gotta say that Eddie deserved better. He would have been better off living and with this character he found out about the upside down and everything right on episode 2 and could have really helped out in season 5 because he almost ended up like the rest of the party but NO ANOTHER REASON IT WOULD HAVE BEEN WAY BETTER FOR HIM TO LIVE BECAUSE HE WAS ONE OF THE MOST AMAZING CHARACTERS. I think that like around number 5 or 4 should be Jim Hopper. He was willing to sacrifice his life to protect a town and helped many of the kids, then he went to a cruel Russian prison and was about to die from a demogorgan until he got saved.

What I find unusual is how much love many of us have for Barb. We had an entire season to grow to love Bob and Eddie, but only 3 episodes to get to know Barb. And yet she's such a well-loved character. I can't help but wonder if Barb's death had been scheduled for later in the season, if the show runners might have changed their minds and not killed-off Barb once they realized how much she was liked. (I heard something similar happened with Steve.)
