To anyone who doesnt know, you can make *nearly* anyone in the game OP if you give them god tier artifacts, and right team comps. For example: Childe, who wasnt in this video for some reason, is able to do 100k plus dmg with the right team comps. Same with shogun. Team comps are everything. Using good team comps with Hu tao or Eula can give 2 million dmg.

True. But then there is also character that can normally buff them self for ungodly high damage. Hutao can easily hit 3k att thanks to her skill, Ganyu double shot, reduce cryo resist and even boost her own crit rate Noelle also can easily crack 3k att when bursting, while still rocking near 3k def. becoming literal god. The list goes own for most 5* On the defense front Big Daddy can make a shield that down right don’t break and protect you better than nylon poly fiber bullet vest.

I play Diluc as Main DPS in combination with Zhongli for shield and burst support, Raiden as Elecrodamage and burst support and Childe as sub DPS. It’s definitely not the best team you can have, but I don’t care. I play my favorite characters not for damage output, but for fun. I sometimes swap Kaeya, Ningguang or Beidou in, just because I love their characters.

Ganyu isn't even the best dps in the game. Ganyu is useful in pretty much every scenario and has incredible dps, but Hu Tao does more single target and Ayaka is beating her in the Abyss as well.

@@Dylangillian you can't take Abyss into any consideration as Abyss has independent buffs that help one or another character. There is no neutral ground in the Abyss and Hu Tao has a higher Spike as c1 but a lower floor when she hasn't her conversion up. Also, which is something a lot of people forget to mention, you need to run around with her. Which is even more of a problem considering that she pushes enemies away from her. Ganyu can hit everyone and everything. No need to run around and she has much better AOE coverage together as well. The little bit of difference between c1-5 Ganyu and c1 Hu Tao is negligible for the benefits she has over almost any other DPS. Until c6, that is. At c6, she is by far the highest burst you can have since you can store 3 charged shots from her and melt all of them in quick succession. Unless we are talking about Nuke Builds with Hu Tao but I'd personally consider nuke builds as something of a joker as they require a lot of preparation and you can only use them one time until you are stuck with high cooldowns all around. They are a bit hard to get off and often don't really work that well outside of showcases

@@Dylangillian Ganyu is definitely the best because Aoe> Single target so that immediately invalidates hu Tao and Ayaka is a burst, you bring her in for ult then switch out whereas ganyu can continuously does big damage like 60k per charge by herself with Amos, plus bennet, Mona and venti easy 100k plus per charged with freeze, where as ayaka could do about 200k with that every ult so 100k every 5 secs or 200k every 15 plus set up. And xiao does good aoe with about 200k plus every plunge but ganyu again can out damage that so yea I definitely think ganyu number 1

@@Dylangillian no ganyu is still a lot better, because she is range, she can deal dmg while keeping herself safe not to mention all of her attacks are all aoe so shes amazing even if its single or multiple targets not to mention it also doesnt have a gimmic or something like hu tao who base her dmg on her hp, not to mention she is very consistent in dealing dmg which ayaka got beat. also she is very versatile because her being a cryo character which has access to one of the best reactions in the game combine that with her kit and you can either build her as a dps or a support

Everyone can be good with enough investment. However better characters need less investment in order to be viable. A eula with 50% crit rate and 150% crit damage and 1500 attack will perform vastly different from a razor with the same stats.

I have most of these characters. You named every member of my default team but my favorite pyro user: Klee! (Who was technically my second five star, as I both lost and won my first 10 pull 50/50 with Diluc, followed by Klee.) My other members are Zhongli (who replaced my Noelle), Raiden Shogun (who took Lisa's place), and I'll interchangeably use Kazuha and Venti (who took the place of the anemo Traveler on my team).

I admit, any character can deal huge dmg if you build them right with broken artifacts, weapons and right team comp and there's probably someone out there with dps Kazuha but he doesn't out dmg Xiao at equal potential. Xiao's kit is literally built as a dps and Kazuha is op in his own way as a support. But dps Kazuha > Xiao is just untrue.

@@thehooman4705 Not really. All DPS characters except Raiden and Xiangling lack a good 4 star weapon. Raiden and Xiangling have the catch available to them. The craftables are much weaker than 5 star options. But I do disagree about Xiao in top 3. Ayaka, Hu Tao and Ganyu are the top 3 with Xiao, Eula, Xiangling and Itto competing for the positions after that. The remaining 4 are more personalized rankings rather than overall as it depends on which characters do you have left to pair with them. I see Raiden as a support and sub dps. So she is not included.

They know everyone wants to see their favourite shiny 5 star on a list like this so that is what they did, and I understand that. Benny, Xingqiu and Xiangling are 4 stars that outperform, in terms of utility and/or damage, a great majority of 5 star characters. Do they get views though? Needless to say, don't takes this tier list seriously, it is obviously not meant to objectively categorize characters by their strength.

Tier lists can change each season, but I like the idea. I like most if the characters mentioned. In fact Genshin Impact most characters have likeable features, charme, and personality traits. As not mentioned here I also enjoy playing with Beydou, Yanfei, and Ningguang in my teams as well. Especially Beydou is currently my strongest melee fighter. Maybe one day Kazuha can join my team as well as a great sword-fighter. Would have loved to win Zhongli and Ganyu in the just finished banner, but in the end I am happy with winning Ganyu for my team on the last day. It is an interesting combination to use Ganyu with a water wielder like Kokomi or Mona. I like Hu Tao and if she gets a rerun I'll try to win her for my team. Her black humor is something else. Anyway, now my plan will be to be aiming/saving for the Raiden Shogun... Ayaka would also be on my wishlist, if I get the opportunity. Especially since I'll probably have to wait quite some time for Hu Tao to come again.

First, they called the fire element pyro, then doesn't bother to call the other elements by the in-game names anymore. Anemo = air. INCONSISTENCY. Second, this is an EXTREMELY BIASED TIER LIST. It should be called top 10 5 stars instead of characters, the reason being there are 4 star characters that can out DPS half of the list. I don’t even consider Eula (who I still love btw) to be on that same level because her damage is so delayed and she struggles when elemental dmg is needed. This list is cringe and inconsistent. If it were a pure and accurate DPS list, Ayaka would be #4 at the very least but likely #3 or higher.

My main team is Anemo Lumine, Qiqi, Yanfei and Xingqiu and quite honestly I have ever since gotten better characters yet I have never felt like I am missing out on damage by not changing it, though I've started using Beidou lately too. The Melt/Vaporize/Frozen combos and Lumine just gathering everyone together so I can set them on fire with Yanfei make me feel so much joy. And with Qiqi as a healer I hardly ever take any permanent damage.
