As far as i remember they are course spirits, sukuna is in fact stated to be a special grade cursed spirit But yes it's true that they are different from the other cursed spirits.

@@mobzero4868 if you read closely sukuna is never stated to be a special grade curse spirit i can guarante that there is no evidence for that. He is classified as a special grade curse object nothing else. The same goes for kechizu and eso.
