Gucci Pour Homme II, nice calming effect. Millesime Imperial, L'Humaniste, Bergamote 22, Dior Homme Sport.. those are usually what I wear when It gets REAL hot.

I would recommend most of the ones in this video. For extremelly hot weather, Gucci Pour homme II, Millesime imperial , Issey Miyake, Aqua Forte... ultimately I would sample most of the ones and then come to a choice of what works best for you.

Great pics, Cody! Only comment, "correction" I'd make is at 9:52 re: TdH. Red Vetyver by Montale smells almost identical to Terre d'Hermes. Even closer than the MI/Unforgiveable comparison. Try it out!

I plan on doing a video on this. The short answer is think of colognes exactly like wine. Many of the parallels are the exact same between the two.

I've heard of Bvlgari Extreme being a food fragrance, but never compared to Issey! Ill try and find it!

great list man. my top two that i'm loving this summer are frapin l'humaniste and creed mi. but on a side not i use my tuscan leather and must ravageur on reaaalllyyy hot days sometimes. they smell amazing cooking on your skin in the heat. seriously lol

They are all over and it depends on your idea of inexpensive. For the higher quality houses.. you can often get trials for free if you show up in person.. but if your talking about online.. going to depend on your range

For longer "preservation". Think of fragrances like wine.. cool and dark is good. My apartment can get hot, so I store some in a cooler.

Ok thanks I give it a try. Also thanks for the great recommendation on the Perry Ellis Red. Serious value there. Have you had the chance to sample the Perry Ellis White? A few people said it was very similar to Le Male as the Red is similar/better than Gio.

Longevity with 1270 so far is sorta odd for me. I am getting about 6 to 12 hours with this one. Quite a gap. Sometimes it lasts, other times it dissapears. Maybe it has something to do with how active I am during the day.

Good thing I never said "chilled". Wine coolers are often used because most people have no control over their environment.. and you can do just that with a wine "cooler". If your apartment is at a constant 85/90 degree F and you plan on storing it for a long time, chances are you get one.

Why would you store colognes in a cooler?!? Is there any particular reason/temperature it should be stored in, I though room temp without harsh temp changes would be the most appropriate to store fragrances, 70F - 75F... Could you shed some light on the subjects, also how long is fragrances good for; is there an expiration or time limit that should be considered..!?? Thanks a lot. Max

That's a tough question. There really isn't any one site that I buy fragrances from. Some I buy from websites like fragrancenet, scented monkey.. others I purchase from MiN NY, Bergdorff goodman or Saks... some off other people.. basically all over. I always have my ear to the street looking for deals.

They are both very similar except in the dry down. IMO eau extreme has a little bit more powdery feel and not as much citrus in the dry down. I think it is the tonka bean bursting through but I'm not sure.

I'm interested in this house as well. I have smelt D600, but I think the one I sniffed wasn't an authentic bottle. It smelled very faint. Many reviewers talked about it's awesome longevity and projection. I sure didn't experience that. Nice bottles, though.

Yardleys Citrus & Wood smells almost identical to Terre D' Hermes. A 1.7oz costs less than $10. Spayed one on each hand and they are very much the same.

hey doc, i've very recently, out of nowhere, become fascinated with fragrances after the gf and I got for me a simple fragrance from l'occitane. I've never been into fragrances till now, and it's getting expensive!
