sure dragon quest games has the same gameplay and mechanics but I could say that V is one of the most unique one in the series because of its theme and story, could easily beat anything in the list. one of the best DQ imo

For me my top 5 are these... Super Mario RPG, Arcana (not even mentioned, he's probably not played it) then Final Fantasy 6, Earthbound & Breath of Fire II

Neither ActRaiser is an RPG so I don't think either should be subject to this list but it really doesn't make sense to put ActRaiser II in the "Worst RPG" list for the crime of...being a straight action game. It's like saying salmon are one of the worst birds because they can't fly.

I'm kind of disappointed that Robotrek, which is one of my favorite SNES RPGs and definitely in my top 10, didn't make the cut or at least an honorable mention since the title screen was among those at the beginning of the video. Ogre Battle March of the Black Queen is my favorite console SRPG and another that would definitely be in my SNES top 10.

Good list. I had a Genesis as a kid so my knowledge of SNES is limited. I've been bankrolling a list of games to check out. Also, I've been playing RPGs for ~25 years & only recently learned "JRPG" is a term... and I hate it. I know ppl try to define lines about what it is, but video game RPGs were practically, if not literally, invented in Japan. Saying JRPG is like saying "urban hip-hop".
