Nightcrawler was always the most human character. Him , and Colossus have the most realistic personalities. This makes them somewhat hard for writers as they would more likely do common boring things that dont excite fans. LIke Nightcrawler would read the Bible while Colossus would write poetry.

I remember in the X-Men fighting game X-Men: Next Dimension, Nightcrawler had a move where he would grab the opponent and teleport them multiple times in a single spot, without moving from that location. After the move was done the opponent would just pass out on the ground lol so that definitely checks out.

My favourite thing about nightcrawler was that he did everything he could to NOT be what he appeared to be. He was a kind, gentle, humble, non violent person who desperately want to walk the narrow path. If left to his own devices, he would spend eternity in monastery praying for people, singing, farming and doing chores or whatever else boring things monks do.. It took ALOT of coaxing from Professor X to don the X-man uniform and do the whole action hero thing. It was totally against his character.

The "moves through Brimstone" dimension is basically like saying he can also directly teleport you to Hell... which I would say is a significant power.

He actually didn't like teleporting. He was a monk! lived in a monastery doing the whole monk thing. Imagine asking a monk to go to hell. LOL, He only teleported when necessary but really disdained doing it.

I always thought Nightcrawler's wall crawling skill came from an ability to redirect gravity to any surface. Gravity is what pulls Kurt through his teleportation rifts when he "bamfs". The redirection of gravity would allow Nightcrawler to crawl, stand, walk, and even run on walls and ceilings as if it was just a normal floor. I was just a little disappointed when i found out about the suction cups. That reminds me too much of how Toad sticks to vertical services. Just thought the "gravity redirection" was related to his small black holes that he rips open when he teleports. Would make for an interesting ret-con power. Would explain the shadow ability also. Gravity is bending light around him. Causing the shadow appearance. He's the "BAMF!" lol

When Sasha said he can use his teleportation abilities offensively I thought she was also going to say his ability to teleport parts of your body for example an arm or a leg. In the early's I wondered if he actually teleported through a hellish dimension hence the brimstone smell yes I'm a big fan of Nightcrawler could you imagine living with him every room you walked into the first thing you have to do is look on the ceiling, and I guess it can be extremely disconcerting to say the least seeing nothing in the dark but two glowing eyes, time for a change in underwear.

It’s a fairly new story and ability. The story was fun, but I’m not a big fan of the ability or a religious character giving up their soul to help his friends. It’s also weird because Magik has trouble being a good person without her soul, but Nightcrawler is basically the same. Also, I’m confused if he still has the ability since Moira recently changed the timeline.

He's been my favorite forever! He looks like a demon, but has the biggest heart out of anyone else on the team. He sacrificed his soul for his friends, he was the FIRST X-man to get close to Logan and they became the best pals of the team. Still love the dare Logan gave him about going out as himself and not in disguise.
