@canicetang88374 жыл бұрын
Poor Felipe also cried on the top of the Podium at Interlagos 2008 after he lost out the title to Lewis by a single point. That being said, probably one of the saddest moment in Carlos Sainz Sr. lost his engine 500 metres from the finish in fourth place. Had he maintained that position, he would had been World Rally Champion by a point over his rival, the great Tommi Makinen. But instead, Makinen won his third title in a row before getting his fourth in a row in 1999. JR Hildebrand's crash on the last corner of the last lap while leading the Indy 500 in 2011 was the most heartbreaking, allowing Dan Wheldon to win the race while JR's crashed car survived to finish second.

Rubens was probably the most popular guy on the grid with everyone - teams, drivers, crowds. What tainted him was being the obvious number 2 to Schumacher. We all wanted him to show us what he could do, and unfortunately, it wasn't until he was in the Brawn and had 'equal billing' with JB did we really get to see it. And damn, he was a great driver.
