I spent some time in Auckland with my dad in 2011... I think... After a Soccer tournament in Matamata. Went to some of those places and bring back memories! I'm sure a lot would be different now too.

I must say that one of the best time enjoying, was the bird watching in Western Spring, Lakeside Park, next to the Zoo. I loved the birds! I can't say thanks enough!

Dear Peter and Yen! Before I arrived at Auckland I visited Sydney, so I was overwhelmed with all of I did there, so I decided take it easy in Auckland, nevertheless, I didn't rest, I sightseeing a lot around the harbour and the city, having lunch, dinners, shopping etc. I used public transportation to explore beyond the city. With #18 bus I went to the Zoo and for me, the adorable Western Lake park which I felt in love because it was just for myself! LoL. I enjoyed a day at Waihiki Island. I chose Hop on Hop off to explore the Island. I bathed at Onetangi beach, which I loved it so much for the big, but soft waves. I ended my day with wine tasting and dinner at Thomas's Bach restaurant watching the sunset! I had a great time there and, of course I'll come back to Oceania in two years when Qantas Airlines will launch a public direct 20 hours flight from NYC to Sydney. (They tested a flight already this Oct.20, 2019) I'll look forward it. (Oh, I made some friends in Auckland! I'll be their host when they come to NYC) So excited! Happy Holidays to you guys as well! We use to go for walks down then viaduct all the time when I was a kid because my dad built a few projects around there. Is planet Hollywood still in the city? Or is it long gone? I've been enjoying your videos but one in particular on living costs in Auckland was the decider on me not relocating back to NZ. I've been living in the UK for the last decade and was scoping moving back to live there (I lived 85% of my life in NZ) but your video confirmed what others have been telling me. Oohhh boating sounds really fun in Auckland, and the prices are pretty reasonable as well! How would you say about cycling in Auckland, are there separate bicycle lanes or will we have to ride on the road and share the lane with the cars? Pretty keen for that as well! Hokkaido egg tarts though - that's the bomb!

Cyclists are very well looked after in New Zealand. There are cycling Lanes along all the most popular tracks and unlike New York there isn't stuff blocking the way for people 😁 you would love it if you're a cycler 👍

Great video man, heaps of useful info and Auckland is looking so modern/tidy to when we last saw it, especially the Queen Street area. It was looking tired there for a while, imax even went ghetto for a bit after planet hollywood closed 😂 I have to admit when I saw you in the tree at Albert Park I was thinking, "whats he gonna do if some does a runner with his tripod and camera" 😳I envisioned ninja Peter exploding out the tree and in hot pursuit throwing his sliders like ninja stars 😂🤣

Hello Marry 😊👋, Auckland doesn't snow and the easiest way to get around is to hire a car especially if you want to see a lot of things. Auckland is quite a widespread city.

Yen n I both use 2 degrees because its the cheapest but out of Auckland and even in Auckland sometimes the coverage is not that great. Spark is the best coverage but usually expensive.

Hahaha mate I'm well over the 18 year age for drinking. Kiwis are massive beer fans you'll find many New Zealand brands and even more Kraft beers. Never really looked for Victoria bitter but you can get our version DB bitter instead 😉

Hello Widya 😁👋 glad you enjoyed the video. For general flying around safe areas you don't need a permit. You only need a permit if you want to fly in restricted areas I.e over sacred Maori land or D.O.C no fly zones which are most of the big name national parks.

Thank you! In NZ stores will take either. People tend to use credit card and eftpos to save the hassle of carrying cash but shops accept both! If you use credit card there may sometimes be a small extra surcharge for you in certain shops (they will state at the counter) but that's not super common. Hope that helps answer your question! 🙂
