The Frankfurt Cathedral (Dom) is so special because it is where the Holy Roman Emperors were elected and crowned. The Römer (the building with the three flags) is also the town hall with the city parliament. That's why there are often newlyweds who have just been at the registry office there. You can still walk through the city forest in the south or across the farm fields in the north. But that will be too far for most. Most of the time it will be a walk on the banks of the Main or a short boat trip on the Main, between the two barrages. Nice days in Frankfurt.

There is also the Maintower, with great views over the city. Neu altstädt, and for a good night out: old Sachsenhausen, especially Frau Raucher great food in there.
