Born and raised in Miami. I agree with the majority of this list. I do want to mention the Everglades is a MUST! I've going since I was a kid and I never grow tired of it. A truly special place. Taking Tamiami Trail to Naples is highly recommend for some beautiful scenery.

Yesss... but only if visitors leave nothing but footprints. 💚 And don't feed the gators, it can doom them to death... they can lose their fear of humans, and if they do, they'll approach and then be deemed "aggressive". These are then killed. It's really not nice to feed alligators (and it's illegal). If you see a gator and it starts coming closer, it has probably been fed. It is dangerous! Get away from it, and don't get caught up in taking pictures, stay AWARE!! 💚

Lol you obviously haven't traveled the US huh... I'm a game warden in sunrise Fl. South Florida has some of the worst conservation practices and some of the most boring wildlife due to all the people who come here and don't give a shit about the environment. Also, not to mention our issues with all kinds of invasive species like our tegu issue we have now. There's nothing to see other than a gator. Key deer are endangered due to tourist illegally feeding them... man the list goes on... there's not much to see in the Everglades other than issues. Can't even enjoy riding my motorcycle out there due to the dumbass that don't know how to drive.

@@Whileweweresinners me travel? Only when I'm not at work. I've been through all the east coast and part of the west coast. Most of my travels are in Europe, Italy mainly. I do want to say that I dont disagree with you in the majority of what you said. There are alot of issues going on with the glades, no one can disagree that the list of problems is a long one that includes tourists. But, the beauty is still there, it's special even given the circumstances. Aside from the glades and beaches what else is there in SFL? Not much, we have to cherish it the most we can and educate those who dont know.

My uncle lived in Ft. Lauderdale for about 15 to 20 yrs. He left in the mid to late 90’s. He passed in 2011. My grandparents that I use to visit with also passed. I miss those days and all of the great times we shared together. For that reason Miami and Ft. Lauderdale will always have a place in my heart. I believe I was 17 or 18 my last visit, now I’m 49.

I was in California and decided to relocate to South florida because of the much better beaches and warmer weather. The waters of California beaches can be cold and many of the California beaches have muddy sand. The thrill of walking on the soft warm sand of Florida beaches is something else only! Also the beach side cafes of Florida are fantastic, they are right by or on the beach. The whole concept has been perfected across most of Florida!

There are many BEAUTIFUL places in south Florida...Miami is great, but not if you want peaceful. It IS a big city, after all...TONS of people. You can stay in other more peaceful, safe areas and just drive into Miami. Definitely, rent a car... it's necessary. The Treasure Coast, The Space Coast, Orlando(central Florida). Take a look at the map, and find a spot where you can be centrally located to the things you want to do. 💚from south Florida!!

If you live in or around the Boston area no need to move south. Hardly any snow in recent years in fact a lot of winter days January and February 50-60 degrees. Even some Golf courses are open.

Im from miami and if you don’t know where your going Little Haiti can be dangerous. Key Biscayne if your going to the beach just go to South beach it’s not worth going for the beach usually polluted. Also Biscayne Bay is a tourist trap so go for the views but besides that it’s okay. I really recommend Brickell city center or the new miami design district to walk around its very pretty

Lived in Jacksonville and came for Miami for a visit. Miami was beautiful. The beaches, the lights, and the metro. Plus, Miami had a Latino flavor and Miami is very active unlike Jacksonville. The only thing I didn't like was that some parts of Miami feels like the hood. Overall, I think Miami is great for a visit, but not to live. Worth the 5 hour drive.

I'll be flying down to Miami for a week from 4/20-4/27 this year. I have plans to visit the beach at least 3 of the days I'm down there. I'll visit Calle Ocho, Little Havana, Coral Gables, & Coconut Grove on the non-beach days. I also would love to explore Bayfront Park in between the beach outing & an evening in downtown. I even found a few ice cream places in South Miami that I would love to get some ice cream at while down there.

I am from miami. I love your video and I agree with most of the list. Please, when here, do not miss Coral Gables, do not miss the design district. As far as museums the coral gables museum, the bass museum, holocaust memorial and Jewish museum. Miami is also well known for shopping. Walking tours of downtown and little havana are great.
