But let's not forget the food! - Poutine - Smoked meat sandwich - Steamed Hot dog and fries - Authentic Italian Pizza (Check out Little Italy form Neapolitan, Roman and Montreal style pizza) - Portuguese Chicken - Vietnamese, Thai, Japanese, etc. - Chinese food (China town) - Mexican, Peruvian, Salvadorian, etc. - Greek food - Indian food (Jean Talon Street) - Lebanese food (Shawarma, Shish taouk, etc.) - Fish and chips - Donuts shops (not chains) - French pastries : Croissants, Kouign Amann, Pain au chocolat, etc. - Italian pastries : Cannoli, Sfogliatella,, Baba, etc. - Local Beers (hundreds of varieties, brands, etc.) - Coffee shops

Taxes are not included when purchasing keep in mind that it's 14.975% or roughly 15% throughout the province.. $ Exchange booths are downtown Montreal. But it is wiser to use credit. I sincerely hope you're a troll cuz I've been here 3 years and don't know a single soul who says that they didn't know about these things existing. Everything on the list (except for the Musee Des Beaux Arts lol) are literally places in Montreal that everybody knows about. It's not a list of things "to do" it's just places to go, and they're literally the top 10 places to go on the island.

I want to congratulate you for the way you said those French words, excellent! I was born and raised in Montreal but no longer living there and I went to almost all the places you mentionned. I didn't know there was a zip line! My favourite place? Musée Pointe-À-Callière.

I do not kown when you visited those places but for the pass 5 years many changed occured, near the Zip line there is ''Voile en Voile'' 2016 and a Ferris wheel 2017

Oratoire st-Joseph is in a complete makeover and by 2026 you should be able to climb all the way to the top of the cupola which is the second biggest ( read tallest ) after St-Peter of Rome.

Thanks for this posting. Ex-Montrealer here. A good effort to try to pronounce the names in French....if you ever feel like editing the audio you may want to consult a French speaker to correct some of what you said.Perhaps my favourite? The view from the lookout at Mont-Royal. Bonne continuation!

I live in downtown- you actually don’t need a car to drive around (especially in Summer) - we have bixis(rent a bicycle) electric mopeds (to rent) and our Metros (trains) are very clean and connects most part of the town.

Oratoire st-Joseph is not Canada's patron saint, english Canada does not know the Oratoire. it is Quebec's patron Saint and the Oratoire was build by the Catholic church and Frère André was the founder of the Oratoire St-Joseph. English Canada is more protestant rather than Catholic. Sorry but I had to write this

Montreal until recently prided itself on being the second French-speaking city in the world. Alas, this title is stolen from him, Montreal is becoming more and more englise, most of its inhabitants being bilingual or unilingual English. Thus, it will become another North American metropolis without soul, without singularity, which made its charm and its distinction. The recent Bill 96 to protect French, so decried by Anglophones in Quebec and elsewhere in the country, will not be enough to preserve this character. Only in Quebec do they pass illegal laws that go against the Charter of Rights (Bills 21, 96) to try and 'protect' the majority. Speak to an anglophone in French, and more often than not, they will happily speak French with you, especially if you are a tourist. English speakers have lived here for 250 years. In the latest census, there are a million Anglos in a province of 7.5 million people. It is a myth that Montreal is a 'French city', it is a multilingual city, in a predominantly French province.
