At 2:50, you can see the Vietnam Veterans Memorial. It is a wall containing the names of the 58,000 American men who were killed in the Vietnam War, which lasted from 1955 to 1975 - although the period of American involvement lasted from 1965 to 1973.

New York City is by far and away my favorite place in the U.S., and the world for that matter, but Washington D.C. has a certain polish to it that is very nice. It's definitely not a massive city, the metropolitan area is pretty large, but the district itself is very compact. It's a very well planned and designed city, super walkable and easy to get around. The parks and architecture are very beautiful as well.

As a native Washingtonian this list is missing 4 historical and fun landmarks. 1) The Kennedy Center- The Kennedy Center itself is free to go to. It's the home of the performing arts in Washington, DC and it doubles as the John F Kennedy National Memorial. Always has free events going on and it overlooks the Potomac River. 2) The Wharf- From seafood markets on boats, to swings on the pier by fireplaces while sitting by water. To premier eateries, nightclubs and music venues. Very unique and different side of DC. 3) Malcolm X Park- Every Sunday is a sight to see. From people rope walking, group yoga/meditation, soccer games, kids playing, people relaxing in hammocks, roller skaters, skateboarders, weed circles and the most memorable thing DRUM CIRCLE. If anyone comes with a drum they can play with the circle, plus you have free spirited dancers, etc., There is truly nothing else like this in DC. 4) Rock Creek Park- From the unrivaled golf course to the Carter Barron, beautiful nature, best Tennis Courts in DC, uniquely built houses, the most wildlife in the city, best paths to hike, longest creek in the city among other eye popping and refreshing things about this place. These are must see places while on vacation.

I am grateful for the lower level federal employees who are often overlooked because they are hard to name. I am grateful for the efforts and planning, passion and patience they give in keeping the United States in order and not in anarchy, keeping the principles of American government reflecting the original constitution and the modern voices of America's citizens, and keeping cleanliness in conduct and etiquette It takes a lot of work to keep our nation going especially if it is to work fairly to people at all levels and to the environmentalist goals it must keep. I just give thanks for the grit that it takes for government workers to truly do their best and not cut corners being lazy and wasting. If you do your job in DC and you pull your heart out for the sake of our nation daily to uphold and not become a hypocrite or swayed by commercial or inappropriate forces I THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF THE AMERICAN HEART, YOU ARE NOT UNAPPRECIATED AND YOU HAVE GOOD KARMA IF YOU ARE MAKING ENVIRONMENTALISM CHIEF,

I am grateful that African Americans are being repaid for unforgettable and unforgiveable forced contributions to the colonial period United States to the time of abolition of slavery and very arguably beyond only slightly lessened until after the civil rights movement. I think that the american government is slowing down and practicing wisdom to repay and redeem itself the best it can from its most hypocritical and humiliating period in terms of principle and integrity. There needs to be more bowing to the respect for African Americans today and assurance of freedom and fairness. When the energy is used sincerely and consistently to best undo the damages of those times of slavery the result isn't instant overnight but it is tangible and it is the only way to achieve and sustain an america that isn't failure, learning the lesson that good fruit comes from good soil good seed and good care, LOVE CAN BE YOUR ROOT, exploitation cannot, with this condition that the hearts of the people are truly good and truly inspiring peace and nonviolent retribution in later generations america will prosper forever. THANK YOU FOR HEROES MAKING JUSTICE
@名誉ために日本人天の祖先7 ай бұрын
I am grateful for the United States of America, I am grateful that it's flag flies and that it's democracy and principles of equality and fair justice continue to flower. I am grateful to President Biden for guaranteeing the security of this beautiful and ideal United States and for healing our nation with holy marijuana that brings peace and long health and life. I am grateful for all the environmental victories we have had this year, and for the increased green eco boost caused by a much greater use of electric solar powered and biodiesel fuel. I am giving thanks every time when America is switching over from pollution heavy fossil fuels to cleaner energy, beginning the process of shutting down coal plants etc and creating biofuel production centers that can convert hemp pieces not used and discarded by those farmers making materials like rope and wood, lotion, paper and textile from hemp into biofuel that can power America and the world. I am giving thanks that there is enough initiative in the people to follow through on this. I am also grateful that the state Virginia is requiring recycling by law of everything possible in every county of the state. I have been in talks with the governor of Virginia as a concerned observer in neighboring Maryland. I have been received well and surprised that the governor had so much time to actually receive me and talk for a little while, even though I am a Maryland resident I caught the governor's wise eye with an environmentalist topic. The governor wants to fund a free to public use recycling fleet throughout the entire state. I am happy that this is what Virginia is moving towards, like Maryland, the power of now is the essence. Every day we are meditating and being in the present, the gift of recycling is here now, goodwill and American ingenuity is making it happen in ways efficient artistic and energetically clean, I am grateful that recycling has prolonged every part of my life, and I am grateful that I am able to continue recycling with the rest of America for better and better incarnations.
