Thanks for the video! I watched the show, but never played any of the games, so you explained some things that didn't make sense. Aha, I see now that the show had to be true to the game mechanics which is why the show did what it did regarding such things as instant "magic" healing and whatnot which are common video game tropes. I might, or might not, play a Fallout game now. Maybe New Vegas since I'm mostly into RPGs.

Bruh vats has always been a pop-boy feature, and lore wise all it does is provide a clear view of your probability to hit any part of any target, so no, coop doesn’t have vats it’s not a superpower lol

The way Bethesda handles cannon (in Fallout and Elder Scrolls) has always been everything that can happen in previous games does happen whether or not the main antagonist was involved and the details of it will always be vague if it recalled by someone or written about in a lore book later. That way it doesn't really matter what path the player goes when it comes to planning out future games. Because of this, Benny is very likely dead by the time of the show if not by the hands of the Courier than someone else.

I'm seeing so many people in the comments saying Cooper used V.A.T.S when he literally can't, a pip boy is what enables V.A.T.S which Cooper does not have, if anyone is to use V.A.T.S it will be Lucy since she has a pip boy. V.A.T.S isn't a super power that people randomly have. V.A.T.S is called *Vault-tec* Assisted Targeting System for a reason.

This series is literally perfect to the games. I binged the whole series and cannot wait for season 2! Looking forward to the Super Mutants and the Deathclaws/Radscorpions This is probably the best ever game-movie/tv adaptation ever made, well done everyone involved in the series!

Hopefully Lucy and The Ghoul will encounter a few radscorpions on the way to New Vegas. I don't think they are high enough level to handle a deathclaw.

#5 was perfect. kept hearing 'how is she not dead'? #10 the divergence happened because transistor was never invented. so its the future, but everything is still analog. there was a nuclear revolution instead of a digital revolution. the analog technology partly gives the feel of being in the past, but the analog and nuclear tech is more advanced (like pip boy, power cores)

To be fair, it wasn’t the safety concerns or cost of expanding nuclear tech that made it distasteful for the US to adopt. It was the fact it would have put fossil fuels out of business. There are records of politicians, scientists, journalists, and environmentalists having a much larger number in their bank accounts immediately before or after reporting nuclear wasn’t safe. As well as records showing they had ties with the “Seven Sisters” (the seven major oil and coal corporations in the US) and their executives. Oliver Stone made a great documentary called “Nuclear Now” that talks about a lot of it.

I know that the show writers are trying to avoid putting a canon ending to most of the games, but im just so excited to possibly see just who won the Second Battle of Hoover Dam. VATS is exclusive to having a pip boy. Slow mo shots were just that. They used many sound effects from the games like when characters logged into a computer or when using the map on pip boy. So if they were going to portray using vats the associated actions and effects would have been used

If season 2 really is centered on New Vegas, I hope they include elements from the Old World Blues DLC. The interactions with the robots there remain some of the funniest stuff I've ever seen in any video game - and I've been playing video games since Pong first came out.

Feels like she may have had some situation that allowed her to be in cryo but then also choose to leave ( presumably with other followers and supplies ) and help found Shady Sands. It’s not clear to me whether Vaultec knew she was against them so maybe she was able to secretly get a spot somewhere? I dunno… I would like the tv show to explore this but I have a feeling they’re going to just move on and leave it ambiguous ( which is fine I guess )

Explanation is mostly likely happening in season 2. A lot of stuff was left unanswered, don't forget she found the cold fusion, so maybe she dabbled in other science projects, found her own way of living that long.

For all you people out there who haven't played any Fallouts, I vote for FALLOUT: NEW VEGAS as the one to play. Great story with multiple factions to fight for (or against), wonderful details, great DLC, lovely music broadcast on a couple stations (One station has Mister New Vegas, Wayne Newton!), really fun NPCs to accompany you, fantastic character creation with skills and perks --- just an all around perfect game. 🙂🙃🙂🙃

You could have handled #1 much simpler... the difference between their universe and ours was in their universe the transistor wasn't invented. The effects of this wouldn't really be noticed until WW2 but ultimately that was responsible for the vast difference between our universes.

I always run the "Bloody Mess" perk! Doesn't everyone? Since before the nukes flew the U.S. was at war for over a decade the mass production of stimpaks makes sense. Though you'd think they'd be overseas with the troops? I a major war rationing and shortages are supposed to be common? I like V.A.T.S. in the games. I doubt it'd make good T.V. In 2024 I play Fallout and Fallout 4.

The perk they're talking about it's called bloody mess and it gives you 5% to 10% depending on which game critical strike and when things die they have a chance to blow up into body parts. It's amazing. So the show is actually probably less violent the actual games
