@@rvb6516 both are great technologies. Flutter is used mainly to develop mobile apps (web apps are also possible but usually not performant). React is used to develop web apps. You can use React for mobile apps too (through Capacitor/Ionic) but the performance is bad. React native is like Flutter but a bit slower. You can use JavaScript and React to make React native apps. These don't run on the web. I'd say take a look at what you want to build. If it's mobile apps and web isn't a priority, use Flutter. If you want to build web apps and mobile apps are not a priority but a basic one would work, go ahead and learn React and Ionic/Capacitor or even VueJS!

What a great update! Flutter really just keeps getting better and better. One thing that I think must be addressed in the short term though is Flatpack support. Snap support is a really good start, but virtually the only distros that use it are directly in the Ubuntu family. Most derivative distros (like Pop_OS, Mint, etc) have dropped snap support in favor of Flatpack, and almost every notable distro outside of the main Ubuntu family, ships Flatpack by default. I'd love to see the Flutter team bring that support to Linux so that Flutter's Linux desktop development doesn't "die on the vine". Ubuntu might be the largest Linux corporation, but it only represents a small portion of the Linux community.

@@rvb6516 , it depends on you. Check the job market you want to be into. For example, it seems there is more remote jobs openings in RN. So, I imagine it is easier to find RN jobs. However, if you have other skills to market like python for example, you must compare python+RN va python+flutter. Nevertheless, if you are are a freelancer, or can choose the framework, I advocate picking Flutter for the superior developer experience.

Everything is well and all. But I cant understand the first highlight: Flutter 2 = Free Upgrade? okay does that mean that google might intend to monetize some future upgrades or something? Not at all. It's already dead actually. Dart is a pretty bad language and can't compete with the JS ecosystem. Only a fool will invest any serious, long term project in Flutter. But I understand the choices are very limited right now. So yeh, short term Flutter get traction, but that won't last long. Google will stop support it in a few years as for so many of their projects.

When we got big improvements for flutter/web? Yes I know I can write a SPA with vue/svelte but I really want to write null safe / static typed code with dart for the web instead of javascript/typescript and the whole node.js package after that. Svelte is promising but confusing. Flutter is really the thing I want to learn, but company's adopting this framework is literately non existence because websites now can also be apps. Also kotlin is on the rise with kotlin multiplattform. I really only need a language like dart that can make smooth apps similar like svelte can do.
