Marvel's very own God of Thunder Thor has a lot of comic books to his name. But which Thor comics are the best? He not only appears alone, but also as a member of the Avengers so some of these stories might include other superheroes like Captain America and Iron Man as well. My favorite is Alone Against the Celestials. Some of Thor's best dialogue and a beautiful representation of his integrity and honor.

Besides reading some of the originals as a kid, Thor Rebirth was my first real journey into the Thor comics. It has stuck with me for well over a decade and set a really high bat on comics. The characterization and emotional pace of it really struck with me and framed my perspective for that phase of life. I’ll always remember reading them between classes at my local college’s health building.

I generally like your choices, especially The God Butcher, Thor Reborn, and The Surtur Saga. I love the battle with the Celestials in Thor 300, as well as the first Malekith story (with people exploding from eating french fries), Thor and Galactus vs. Ego, the Living Planet (Thor 225-228), and the story at the beginning of the Roy Thomas run where Thor takes a camera crew to Asgard and the cameraman becomes a version of Thor. Wow Im surprised a video like this was made for Thor and his comics. Thor is my most favorite Superhero of all time and i have to say this is a actually a really good list, Ive read 9/10 stories listed here and I can honestly say Im impressed. I had a fear in mind you guys might've included the jane foster garbage that's been going on for the past 3 years but Thank Odin you didn't, I 100% agree with The Surtur Saga being #1 that just might be my favorite Thor story of all. I feel Disassembled-Ragnarok could've been a little higher maybe like Top 3 even, the Thor reborn series that follows was a bit boring in the beginning but it's 11/10 artwork really made up for it. Overall this is a solid list and anyone looking to get into Thor comics can start by reading any one of these comics or the stories they're a part of.

Skurge's Last Stand #1, personally think that is on the short list of best single issue comics of all time, and includes one of the greatest comics moments of all time. The God Butcher and Godbomb should be combined into one entry and #2, imo. Then Surtur Saga, Ballad of Beta Ray Bill, The Midgard Serpent. Otherwise, pretty good list; I do think Jurgens' run is under-appreciated though.

Was the Galactus Seed the Stracynski or Fraction/Coipel don't treat Galactus and the Silver Surfer as noble beings, because that was one element I really liked.

In Thor 256, travelling the stars in search of Odin, Sporr takes Sif; later they run into the Grey Gargoyle, later Volstagg is bestowed with the Oden Force after Odin (temporarily) dies... A great run that i hate to see unmentioned.

Frostbitten Cow you can start with any of the stories on this list honestly, but my 3 choices would be either Thor 2007 (they called it Thor: Rebirth in this video meanwhile the comic is just named Thor, the Thor: God of Thunder series and or The Mighty Thor by Walt Simonson collection, I Highly recommend Simonson's run, great vintage classic comics to read in his run.

I always consider The God Butcher and Godbomb one cut in half and given different titles for the ease of a trade publication. It's definitely one of the absolute best Thor stories and the art is unbelievable.

"the whole MCU feels like Ultimate universe" - it doesn't. It has little resemblance to the Ultimate universe. MCU's main franchise, Iron Man, was solely based on the original continuity. Which is good, since Ultimate Iron Man is god-awful. Though, so were last two Iron Man films.
