For the BA award Booking, don't book it as an award for yourself, as that auto-populates your BA FFN number. Book it for "someone else" and then just put in your information. You can then put your AA/AS FFN without having to go to Finnair.

With last minute travels, can you please add or mention about visa, immigration, customs, etc that we need to consider. Been looking to return to the US from Greece and I almost pulled the trigger on a J award with Aeroplan flying Lufthansa and Air Canada....and your warning about Aeroplan customer service not being open24 hours made me not go for it because I just did not want to take the risk trying to call them while in Montreal and Air Canada likely canceling the flight to Detroit, so thanks.
