I agree with the number of applications you suggest submitting. I am terrified when I hear other people applying to over 30 firms. I am always asking myself how is it even possible that they could be interested in so many firms and think that they would be a good fit for each of them and vice versa. Thank you for your advice :)

Actually I'm also curious as to why you decided to work in UK as a minority rather than work in another predominantly Asian country. Did you apply to Baker Mckenzie because you wanted to or because it was the firm to take you on? Its kinda scary to think that you're a Cambridge graduate, speak multiple languages and have had international experience and haven't gone for a magic circle firm??? :(

I actually wanted to work at Bakers as I love the vibe and the kind of work they are doing (e.g deals, D&I). There are many great firms outside of the magic circle firms!
