As far as Nathan Drake vs Lara Croft goes. I think it's a lot like something like Batman vs Superman. You may personally find Batman more interesting, but there's no doubt that because of Superman's fame and status he deserves the title of world's greatest superhero. So yeah, Nate may be the much better, more likable character, but Lara Croft is a legend.

Okay, you guys have to realize, just because Nathan Drake "may" be, and I use that term because it's subjective, a better character, he's not a better treasure hunter or archaeologist. His 3 biggest discoveries are El Dorado, Shangri La, and The Atlantis of the Sands. Lara Croft has found and wielded Thor's Hammer and Excalibur, discovered Atlantis (The lost city of lost cities), found dozens of powerful and ancient artifacts like The Triangle of Light, Pandora's Box, The Ark of the Covenant. She's found plenty of lost cities, fought way more advanced criminal organizations than Drake, and discovered living ancient creatures, like Yeti's, Dragons, Dinosaurs, Giant Spiders, Kraken's, etc. She singlehandedly took down the Yakuza, what's considered to be the biggest underground crime ring ever, just for a piece of the artifact she needed. Knock her for not being as mellow, or for being too overly serious about her work, but that's why she's #1 and Drake isn't, because her job is her prime objective, and she literally stops at nothing to get what she wants. She's gunned down old colleagues in cold blood, fought ancient gods, and has done way more than Drake, despite him being "better" as a character.

I like Nathan Drake a lot, and in some instances prefer him to Lara. But let's face, Lara is an OG in the gaming industry. One of the very few, overall, video game characters to reach heights in mainstream success. She's a fucking legend, up there with Mario and Sonic. In terms of iconic stature, Nathan can't touch her.

She's a legend of the OLD generations(not unless you count the recent reboot) Drake has become an icon of the current gen with his series being one of the last great action adventure PS2-1 era style game, a genre that tomb raider defined. Keeping the legacy of the genre intact and bringing it over to a newer audience is why I believe drake is more iconic.

Lucozade/Larazade, opening for U2, on the cover of Face magazine and plenty of others, highest grossing video game-to-movie adaption, billboards and TV ads outside the gaming industry. Sure, nowadays she's lost her mainstream success but overall, Nate can't compare to Lara in terms of iconic status. Nate hasn't, and I believe he won't, reach Lara's level of mainstream appeal despite his current popularity.

heres an idea. top ten movie battles from 2015 yeah kinda childish list but good lord did we have a lot of fights this year. like hulk vs the hulk buster, the trex & the raptor vs the anonimous rex, katniss and her fellas vs those eyesless mutants (don't know the name), a shit ton of mad max, eggsy vs the sword legs chick from kigsman, rey vs kylo rem from the force awakes, antman vs yellow jacket, the t-800 vs the t-3000 (the movie suck but at least that fight was cool), i didn't saw fast and the furious 7 or the new tarantino film yet, but i guess they have a good fight scene

Chief does too. In Halo 2 he got a suit that allows him to regenerate health without using a medical pack. In Halo 4, that same suit was upgraded and changed in looks. I think the only reason Lara Croft because she's in this treasure hunting bussiness longer than Nathan, fought monsters, villains, and supernatural(Nate fought monsters and villains but not too much, to make the game more realistic), survive injuries that would taken Nate out, found treasures and other things that are impossible to find like the: Stairway to Heaven, Excalibur, and even fucking Bigfoot But I love Nate because ofhis loyalty to his friends, his humor, intelligence, quick thinking and improvise, and natural athletic

I'm really fed up with Lara Croft and Nathan Drake's fanboys fighting and underestimating each games. I love both series and both series have inspired each other, let's accept it. Both characters are amazing. I think there's a much bigger problem: Indiana Jones doesn't have a video game like Tomb Raider or Uncharted. The existing video games of Indiana Jones are hard to find. I'd like to see a new game of Jones. As an archaeologist, I love to play these games!
