I'm new to your channel and I subscribed . I don't even know where to begin, I'm amazed at every one of these designs. Can I pick a favorite, I really can't. But I can say that the last design, the most jega blocks used was a beautiful, high end piece of art. Never would I have dreamed this was made with blocks. I know I can't follow the more complicated ones. When u get to a certain age things just don't flow like they use to. So I am certainly going to try some of the easier ones. I saved this video 4 later. I want to say to you that you are an amazing woman, so creative and I enjoyed your calm soothing voice. Thank you so much 4 sharing.

On #10, your large wooden planter bowl, why would you not use tower blocks to create a base for it instead of foam board? It's such a magnificent piece, I'm thinking of creating one as a wedding gift for an extended relative, but would like to put a wood bottom in it (I absolutely love it, BTW).

Hello and love them all. I can’t wait to get started. I do have one question. Why the different glues? What makes you choose certain glue over another for a different project? Thank you.
@MedicatedHousewifeDIYs Жыл бұрын
Thanks so much- the glue situation is basically that the Dollar tree super glue wood glue is a good glue with pretty strong hold. If I'm running low, I will use the Titebond quick and thick wood glue- which is also a pretty strong hold. Then if I'm using the item outside , or its heavy (and needs extra strong hold) -or if its going to be in any wet areas- I'll use the E-6000 , which is extremely strong but takes a long time to dry. I use the hot glue mostly for video purposes- if I need things to hold quickly- its not the strongest or most long lasting however. Thats my basic thought process-lol. Hope that answers your question! Thanks so much for watching!!!😊

Love these!! You used different wood glues in different projects. Can you explain why?
@MedicatedHousewifeDIYs Жыл бұрын
Thanks Sarona!! Most of the time I use the Dollar Tree super glue wood glue, and the hold is very strong. Sometimes, if I’m out of it-I will use the titebond quick and thick wood glue, which drys a little quicker, but the hold is similar to the dollar tree stuff. I use hot glue , mostly to get the project done quickly when I’m filming it-but it’s not great for long term hold. Lastly, I will use some E6000 if I want something to hold long term, or for outside. I hope that answers your question!! Thanks for watching!😊

What do you use to stop the Wood from getting messed up from the soap and water
@MedicatedHousewifeDIYs Жыл бұрын
Hi Debra. You can use a sealer - any kind of wood sealer ( like the shellac I used on a couple of them). A couple of coats should keep the soap dishes pretty durable- although I wouldn’t recommend you keep them in a wet area 24/7- give them some drying time and they’ll stay nicer longer. Thanks so much for watching!😊

Im super curious about the size of your blocks. I looked at making one of your coasters with my blocks and it was closer to the size of a trivet lol. Here in Canada our blocks are 3"×1"×0.5". So far the only things I have made have been my own creations but when i picture my blocks it just seems like the end piece would be much bigger. Am I crazy? ( dont ask my kids that question. They will say I am 😂)

Hi Tracy- The Dollar Tree Tumbling Tower Blocks are just under 2" long and just over 1/2" wide- so they are smaller than your's. But these are also smaller than standard "Jenga" branded blocks too. So, NO- you are NOT crazy....at least when it comes to this! lol!!!😂 Hope that helps!!!! Thanks so much for watching!!!❤️

@Medicated Housewife DIY's thanks so much!! And the weird thing is that my blocks are actually from our dollar store here. Of course they aren't a dollar but they are really nice blocks. I was actually thinking about making your platter. I'm glad I asked because it would have been massive at the end . Btw I'm also new subscriber. Your diys are amazing!!!

Thank you so much- I know its so hard to fit so much content into so little time- lol, you can slow down the playback in the settings on youtube- or pause the video to catch up- hope that helps. There is also a full video of just the bowl on my channel:kzbin.info/www/bejne/aX3al6WNis55kM0 Thanks so much for watching!!!!❤
