@@jhsbride I didn't say anything about Nina as Nina did a really great job portraying Elena and Katherine. I just think there were better villains than her. She was on the run from Klaus for 500 years when he didn't even care that much to catch her, and after he left Mystic Falls she still lived. She was smart but manipulative and a horrible person (which describes a villain). But imo she was just not as exciting as others. Like - the original family, Silas, Kai, Sybil, etc.

When klaus was the villain, initially, just those moments put together makes him the best. Hell, cut joseph, even when klaus was im ric's body and matt played him, klaus gave off MAJOR best villain vibes, and when they added joseph? It took him ONE millisecond to climb to the top so high the villain in the second spot could run forever and still not come close. The strategies he ran, the betrayals, joseph morgan's delivery, the bittersweet mixture of cruelty and humane emotions.
