Well, it is not necessary except the unis you are applying to requires it. If you would, consider taking the one organized by Istanbul University. A lot of other unis accept it. Over 80 accepts Istanbul's exam this year.

I don't think it is called Mass communication here though. You may find similar departments instead. Check out Halkla İlişkiler ve Tanıtım bölümü, or Iletisim, or Journalism, or Public realtions, or Televeision and Media. These are some of the options i could think of right now. Once you find the right department, you can simply type "[department name] department in Turkey" on google, and you'd find the universities that offer the course
