Gruntilda should have been on this list for at least the 3 or 2 spot. I mean seriously after her first defeat in Banjo Kazooie she fell of her castle and after she hit the ground a giant boulder landed on top of her yet she survived, then two months later she transfered her ghost into a robot suit, after she was defeated there her ghost went back into her body, then two years after that she finaly escaped her rock prison redused to nothing more than a skeleton and tried to suck the life out of the world to get her body back but was once again defeated by the bear and bird duo and was redused to just a head. AND AFTER THAT she spent eight years hopping her way to Banjo and Kazooie's house for round four. I don't remember what happened after that but still you got to give Gruntilda some credit for her determination to get her revenge on Banjo and Kazooie

Gruntilda The Witch from the Banjo-Kazooie series. That witch somehow managed to never die. Not only that, but she always says she's going to get her revenge in the next game. Not even the fact that Banjo and Kazooie reduced her to a skull stopped her. If that's not persistence, I don't know what is. 😅

I know this poll is based on a voting and personal preference system, and I totally agree with Bowser being #1, but Ganon should have been number 2 by default of his 30 years of gaming history. Since his introduction into the Famicon gaming system in Japan in 1986 and the NES in 1987, Ganon(dorf)/Demise has returned in at least 15 Zelda games + two crappy Philips CD-I 'Zelda' games, Hyrule Warriors, and was also present in the Smash Bros franchise. Also consider the fact that his character's invasion into the realm of Hyrule chronologically stretches over a period of 3,000 years if you do the math according to the Hyrule Historia timeline released by Nintendo.

The Litch King and/or Deathwing from War Craft. Actually, the Litch King Ner'zhul is a much longer running antagonist than Deathwing is, even though Deathwing carries on through multiple installments of World. But Ner'zhul has really been a major enemy since War Craft: Orcs and Humans (AKA War Craft 1), and he eventually meets his end in World with the death of Arthas, whose body he had taken over in Frozen Throne. I'm also half-tempted to say Giovanni from Pokémon, but he really is only a villain in Red/Blue/Green (Japan only). He disbands Team Rocket after his initial defeat in the games, so he really isn't a long-running villain.

Ganon is literally the villain in all games. One because of Demise aka the Devil/Lucifer/Satan and two he states his wrath will reincarnate in a cycle with no end. So no matter what game as stated the devil is a serious problem.

You HAVE to create a top 10 list of video game Villains that are almost impossible to kill. If you do, then King Boo NEEDS to be in it, wether he’s recognisable or not, he’s immortal, and can only be defeated by the Poltergust 3000, and even when he’s bested by Luigi, he still cannot he killed, Unlike other villains e.g. Bowser and Ganon. I ain’t hating on either of them, they’re 2 of my most fave game villains, and both are my secondary mains in SSB Ultimate, I’m just stating a fact.

Probably Monkey Island is a series of point and click puzzle type adventure games quiet funny as well played them all growiing up in fact I still have them don't tend to play it as much these days though. It was made by Lucas Arts. A good series of games especially if you enjoy a bit of comedy but it was aimed at kids as it was very cartoonish.

to be fair, Ganon hasn't been as consistent. in Zelda II, you face a shadow doppleganger, in Link's Awakening, it's The Nightmare, in the DS titles is some big-nosed guy, etc. Wily has been in every Mega Man game before the switch to the X series and the only reason Wily isn't still causing trouble is because he died of old age. and while i haven't played all the Sonic games, it seems like Eggman/Robotnik is always around in some form or fashion.

Why is Ridley #10? Every battle he's had with Samus results in him getting blow up into a bunch of tiny, bite sized pieces, or getting drained by a Metroid that one time. Despite that, he comes back in one form or another. Even after his canonical death in Super Metroid, he was cloned, twice. I don't expect him to beat Bowser or Ganon, but the #10 spot seems a bit too low for the Cunning God of Death (that was his title in official Metroid: Zero Mission art).
