English is really a second language here. It is not an optional subject. We get taught English starting pre school. Most of us may not have the accent nailed down, but at least you wont fail to find an english speaker anywhere you go in the country.

I hear this a lot like Filipino sings good, and I think because we all grew up listening to music. I grew up in a little province somewhere in Philippines where electricity is kinda out during the days and they only turn it on at night. So we can watch TV during night and listen to radio. This is way back 1995, I was like 7yrs old and during the days, aside from playing outside, my friends and I used to play singing contest even though there's no audience. It's just us and we score ourselves 😁😅
