Hi I'm from the future they still won't let you save or move rooms around or share rooms or copy and paste groups of items from one room to another or vice versa or whatever they've literally made no improvements through the dojo decorating system at all they've added stuff but that's it and maybe a few new rooms but again if you can't save or move from surround that that does make it much more difficult when they add more rooms or you like a different room or you want to still save all the work you did but not lose it all forever

vash i have a genuine question, the #1 layout doesn't really prepare you for the future lab wise, because like the dagath lab was release, but in your layout it doesn't have an place for it, how would you add more labs, in this layout

I think its a bit unfair to shit on the Minimalist for "not putting effort". Building your own little dojo as a solo player is actually putting a LOT more effort than the overwhelming majority of players that are just fine with "clan surfing" their access to a trading spot and some dojo BP without having to do any of the work.

In your critique of the "Minimalist" you say pick this if you don't care about functionality. Isn't the opposite true? Minimalism is the most functional as having to run through 128 pretty rooms is not very useful, other than showing off decorations. Don't get me wrong I am a big fan of decorating but as far as designing the most functional and efficient layout minimalism would always be the way to go.

On my dojo we Rebuild everything fom the start, So we have 3 ​Floors, One for the reactors, Other for the Lab stuff, And then a Third one with decorations. So ppl can enjoy the decorations without Lookin for reactors That can Be on the way@@grimm_lord

They could easily make it so only the clan leader can approve instant deleting of rooms. Dont make it a permission for lower ranks. I thought of that in 5 seconds. This is the kind of problem solving that could be done if they gave a shit about dojos literally at all lol.

I like to build in Warframe, but I stopped. I didn't notice it at the beginning, but after a few rooms my resources are gone, and my few guild members didn't have much left either. I just want to build :c. Great videos btw!

This is such a genuinely entertaining video, even as someone with zero dojo knowledge or intent to decorate. I’ve been part of many clans over the years as I take breaks and find new ones, and I’ve seen a couple of these. I've currently got a mix of 6 and 2. I have two levels and its organized like a ship (at least in my mind). With the observatory at the bottom front and the drydock at the top back, these postions (in my mind) make sense because of the shape of the rooms themselves. The top level is where the hall-hallway happened followed by a minimalist usage of the neccessary labs and reactors with a decorated ascension hall that lines up with the observatory. The second level is built going back from the observatory towards the drydock with the last two halls, entrati, and tentacle room that hits the drydock's lower bounds. Those have been left open on their sides for the addition of more rooms. :D

damn, building a dojo with a ship's layout in mind makes a lot of sense. i wanted to make my ascension hall the base where newer rooms could be added later, but things spiraled out of whack once i tried to accommodate the Dry Dock. place is massive, yo

I have three levels because I dont really like to have a large map, but Im considering to delete the third level and working to arrange the first two to accomodate more rooms. The first level has a part with rooms organized in a shape of lotus which I wanted to keep but I might expand on the sides. Thanks for the tips!

3:24 - "Clan hall build order" My god i had to deal with that when i started building my dojo clan back in 2017 and it pissed me a lot and i didn't even know until now that this was changed. Thanks to this video i'm rebuilding everything and gonna make some modern changes so finish version is gonna be pretty much the same as the decorator layout that you suggested, thanks :)

I'm a returning player right now after not playing for about 4 years. I had no idea rules around dojo construction changed so much. I have had my dojo at since the beginning. I'm the founding warlord and really the only active member left. Maybe I should take the opportunity to gut the whole thing and build anew. Especially with the weird dry-dock requirements. Definitely won't miss the requirements to build those clan halls.

My Dojo is the Spaghetti Bowl but its also old, I didn't design it (though I am decorating it) and we would need to blow up more than half of it to change it. They really need an "edit Dojo floor plan" option so you can move the rooms

My main thing with my lil Ghost Dojo is just... I really, really don't like "dead ends". Despise 'em, 'ate 'em, don't want 'em, think they're lazy, breaks my immersion. Makes me feel like if someone pries open the door it goes straight into the vacuum of space. Currently, I'm brainstorming whether or not I want to...axe my entire dojo to create a quasi-minimalist with some room for comforts because when I first built mine it was when dojos were honestly just for research. There's a lot of...utilitarian skeleton-look to a majority of it and it makes me a little sad.

Totally agree on the layouts of an dojo my old clan had three floors and hated it was destroying the rooms make it one floor. Left them year half ago just came back from retirement to play something free again.

mines a tower lmao i just put one thing on each floor. one hall per floor, with stuff per floor like labs or dry dock. to be fair, we have teleporters everywhere because no matter at which point in the development and changes people would always complain that stuff wasnt within ten feet of spawn no matter which room.

I like the dojo dream decoration CAD layout you have, but for some reason it can't be bookmarked properly in Firefox. When you try to load the bookmarked link, it doesn't load the entire layout. I have to come back to this video every time to re-load the #1 link lol. No big deal, but thought I'd let you know in case it was something to do with the dojoCAD program not saving links properly.

Apologies if it's been stated here or elsewhere, but, how do you tell which direction is one or the other? I understand you can rotate in the build room UI, but there's not exactly a telltale sign which direction is which.

I used the Navigation room as the X axis and sort of like the tail of the ship and built the rooms so that whileit's assymetric in general, the distance from the center to either side remains symmetrical and it was a pain especially after making mistakes like thinking a room can fit in the extra space only for it NOT to for some reason

hello, i like the layout, recently started building a dojo and hit my had on the wall realizing how complex it is, i like the last layout with a little tweaks i like to make, however i do not see initial room on the layout to start planning the layout

They could also only have the timer for Architects and remove it for the owner or warlords

I don't see a starter hall in the number 1 diagram. Is it possible to delete it? If the layout was designed in dojo planner and not in a real-world dojo, then I assume it was forgotten unless there is a way to delete the starter hall. That small detail would throw a wrench in the design since it appears "the temple of honor" is being used in it's place which adds 4 additional doors as opposed to the starter hall which only provides 2. The labs that occupy the 2 additional doors would have be placed somewhere else. I might be wrong so i'm open to being corrected.

You gotta remember that spawn points change the build order. So if the room you make right after the OG spawn room is another spawn room, and you change spawn, you can in fact delete the starter hall afterwards. If you have not already, I'd go watch the spawn points video.

The first room I added off of the starter hall is the earth sanctuary with 10 doors. I'm loving that addition so far and I'm using builds to interact with the natural landscape. Your vids are helping me to try new techniques.

Hey, I’m currently undertaking the task of decorating and using the back of the entrati walls to just have a nice flat wall. The only problem is that when I clip them into things so that they’re smooth but the lighting messes up and some will be a very dark grey. Is there a way to fix this?

I did use elevators actually to separate three levels The reason I did that is because I wanted the middle or main level to be all one theme The bottom level to be kind of running sort of in line with the middle theme but have its own kind of theme and then the top floor was just going to be for like just random rooms for fun

I’m really the only one decorating and actually spending resources on the dojo so I don’t need a huge amount of space and I’ve left a bit of room for expansion for new rooms.

This entire video is a complete waste of time. Looking at your decorator dojo I cannot find the starting hallway and you have no explanation on what you built first. I can see a bunch of crap on the middle and nothing resembles your first dojo room at all with 4 ovals in a square with 1 hallways protruding left and right of it. I read welding blueprints and your dojo don't make sense to me. Also your little green rooms you call entrati halls don't even pop up for me to create it's literally not an option so the explaining there wasn't there. So all in all nobody can even recreate your fancy layout dubbed The Decorator because you failed to mention how to start and how to find a Entrati Hall which you said is a must to face up down left and right.
