For your opinion at 29:42 I think it was. Orochi is weaker than Monster Garou and Platinum S. He would of been beaten by one of them like flashy flash was beaten. But Orochi is just too slow to do anything to the two. It would of been the same as the 1v1v1 but with a minor difference of it being more destructive and slightly different.

honestly, season 1 is filled to the brim with wasted monsters that were used to establish saitama's strength. Which I guess did a good job explaining the main narrative but after that saitama should've been used more of a last resort to actually build tension in the fights.

It's in order of character I got most hyped about, only to turn into disappointment 1. Evil Ocean Water - What can kill Water? 2. Sage Centipede - If Elder Centipede had an impressive display, what is this one Capable of? 3. Orochi - probably the most hyped-up character 4. Golden/Platinum S - Bro said he can rival Orochi 5. Gouketsu - He made Bakuzan his bitch whos a Dragon Threat 6. Groribas - Literally a Dragon Threat and was stated to be the strongest out of the three General 7. Gums - Not Hyped, but I definitely wanted to see more 8. Haragiri - I bet he's a dragon threat, but he got one shotted 9. Phoenix Man - Mostly, I'm disappointed they retconned his previous ability 10. Forest King - wanted to see more to be honest but it is what it is

I could see a scenario where Orochi returns after the Psyrochi fight, as he technically does survive this and becomes Sage Centipede. In this version, he returns to form and joins in the Garou-Platinum S fight after Flashy Flash is knocked out. Orochi takes out Platinum S, proving that his is in fact the strongest monster, with Garou taking out Orochi with his perfected fist. This could also double as the awakened Garou moment you mentioned earlier. It does remove Sage Centipede's role from the story, but I think that is fine as he was very uninspiring.

Yay I agree, Orochi probably my favorite antagonist in the entire series, their design and abilities look so badass, I knew I was gonna enjoy every fight they were in, so it was disappointing for them to get one punched before being able to do anymore rad moves, especially in the redraw where the fight only lasted a few panels. I have a theory that the only reason the fight itself was retcon is because the fight would have been to expensive to animate for season 3, so Murata intentionally for lack of a more polite term, mad the fight worse, because otherwise season 3 was never gonna happen. To clarify no hate towards Murata, it just disappointing the original fights wasn’t improved and it won’t be animated.

No character in opm is wasted, the monsters association cadres are simply foil and mirror characters for the S class. Both of these teams have egos and pride, refusing to work together even if their life is at stake. One humanized the s class by making them face powerful adversaries that they cannot beat on their own. Also opm is not a shounen or plot driven story it focuses on being character driven and thus the development of its main cast. It’s why sometimes opm has a lot of dialogue and people call it boring.

I feel like the reason Gouketsu is such a fan favourite character is because the extent of his power is left mostly to the imagination, as all we see is casual displays of power from him. So in a way I’m kinda glad we didn’t see more of him, as I doubt he’d be such a fan favourite otherwise. I agree with you on Orochi though, would’ve been nice to see more of him being actually scary. After Saitama defeats him he just takes backseat to Psykos, I would’ve preferred his personality and abilities show themselves a bit more during their fusion. Was surprised Sage wasn’t no.1 lol.

Hey Satori, I think your main problem is with how crowded the monster association arc was. Because you want more screentime from a lot of characters, but there is a LOT going on in that arc. Still I agree with how cool these guys are and how nice it would have been so see them do more; but I think the underlying issue you are pointing too is the arc having too much stuff going on and too little time to explore it.

I think Platinum Sperm could beat Orochi specifically because of his impeccable perception compared to the other monsters (the Tatsuaki fake out scene). Elder Centipede doesn't have the speed to even tag him, unfortunately Platinum Sperms biggest hurdle is his attack potency and durability. While I'd argue he's multicontinental+ seeing as he AT LEAST traded blows with Garou sadly his durability is only around a quarter of Elder Centipede. Now Evil Natural Water absorbed with the ocean might be untouchable... pure speed, strength and battle I.Q. are needed to take that guy out.

Finding out he was so powerful was awesome, but I was really bummed he never got to fight orochi or anyone besides Garou.

I've had a few hate comments here and there, but not many. I am of the belief that Meteoric Burst Boros has similar stats to initial Cosmic Garou before he copied Saitama, but I don't think Boros could beat him. Garou has way better skill and stamina. I can see the fight being decently close in hand to hand before Garou starts spamming martial arts and overwhelms Boros. Then Boros would resort to energy blasts and eventually the Roar Canon, but Garou could counter all of them by using various Cosmic phenomena or just copying Boros and canceling out his attacks. That's the way I see the fight going personally.

Honourable mentions for Groribas and Geryuganshoop. Groribas was claimed to be the strongest fighter the Alien Pirates had, by Geryuganshoop, and he just gets one tapped by Saitama after appearing in a total of maybe 6 panels. Geryuganshoop is said to be the strongest esper in the universe, and all we see him do is spin around pebbles, before Saitama tosses one through him. So imo they had a bunch of potential but unfortunately faced Saitama.

Well, you'd probably hate what I would have done with Golden Sperm... I'd have something similar to the webcomic where after seeing how powerful Golden is by having him instantly kill Ugly (no vomit in my version of events) and almost kill Tatsumaki, also him flexing hard on Darkshine and having Flashy wonder if he's faster than him, just a lot of glazing, the heroes are all about to face him unsure of if they can win or not. Garou comes out of the rubble and nobody recognizes him until he looks at Bang and half of his face is still uncovered by the black shell. Sperm realizes this is the hero hunter and attacks him causing them both to vanish and you see that they're zipping around the battlefield too fast for anyone to see and leaving shockwaves like a DBZ fight. With a big explosion the dust clears and you see fully monsterized Garou standing over a defeated Sperm. To awaken Garou had to fight an insanely strong monster like that and the battle was on such a level that none of the heroes watching could even see it. Now with Garou standing there as the strongest monster ever seen, potentially a disaster level god, and the heroes already nearly defeated he really is the embodiment of despair.

I'm one of the snobs who really hated the changes made to the monster association arc and I actually dropped the manga after that so anything to make it closer to the original would be an improvement in my opinion. Since I actually got a reply I'd like to ask because of your Herobrine video what disaster levels you think the mobs from Minecraft would have. With the crazy scaling Steve has from the vanilla game alone I wouldn't be surprised if a single Enderman would be a cadre level threat.

@@Zack-pm2tu I'd say I liked a couple of the changes, but overall, I definitely agree that a lot of them made the arc worse. As for the Minecraft Mobs, the Steve metas for "canon" Minecraft are pretty easy to throw into question, if not straight up debunk, so the Mobs, if You think Steve is universal, would be God level in strength and durability but basically normal humans in speed. And if You don't think Steve scales that high, the Mods should be pretty easy to take out even for C or B class heroes IMO.

@@SatorisYT The best speed wank I can think of is that the Endermen are said to teleport but you can actually see them moving really fast. This is just a gameplay thing obviously or it's like in Naruto where the "teleport" that many characters like Shisui have is actually just a super speed boost rather than Minato's literal teleportation but if we assume that the Endermen really are teleporting then Steve can just barely perceive infinite speed. He isn't able to actually fight at that speed like when Meta Cooler caught Goku during instant transmission but it's the best I think we can do.

maragori was undoubtedly the most character that got done dirty. i doubt any of you even remember who he is, so for context, he’s that one buff young man which was so focused on getting stronger, then his genius brother gave him a potion which made him the size of a city. (he was at the very start of the series) i get that he was used to illustrate how strong saitama is, but come on bro. it wouldve been so cool if there were more heroes dispatched to fight him.

Fuhrer Ugly should not have became acidic, Gums should have. He should have started shooting his stomach acid at people. Fuhrer Ugly was all-ready the MVP for a while during the S-Class/Cadre battle so he didn't need to gain a new form, he all-ready had plenty going on for himself.

Having some Cadre win against the S class would have been great. And I mean Win win. Have Gums eat Pig God and Tank Top beaten to a pulp by further ugly. Have these 2 cadres walk in on a fight like Nyan vs Driveknight when Driveknight is about to win but 1 additional cadre throws a wrench into the plan. Show how powerful Homeless emperor is when he really lets loose as he constantly was holding back to not cause to much destruction. Pit him against flashy flash and homeless emperor in a moment of desperation let's completely lose, before flashy flash can target him and creates a energy attack so large that even with flashy is unable to dodge it completely. Flashy Flash would barely be to escape with his life but get injured so greatly that he is put of commission for a few minutes and is presumed dead only for him to show up for Platinum S. Meanwhile the other cadres would reprimand homeless emperor for letting lose like that as it put them all at risk maybe even kill off Gums or further ugly that were unfortunately in the way. This would put validity behind gyro gyro's statement that Black S and Homeless emperor could beat anyone together as Black S provides plenty of defense while Homeless has so much firepower that it can oneshot many S-Class Heros and Dragon level monsters if he lets lose. The only reason Homeless does not go all out is because at maximum firepower he starts to obscure his own vision and blindsides him to potential threats. Meanwhile monsters like Sage centipede and Ocean water... honestly with their role... just cut them out. Meanwhile Orochi should just cheat death and adapt like Garou refusing to be a offering for god and put up a fight eventually even against saitama for a while. EDIT: Now thinking about it why not simply have Orochi defuse from Psychos but his monstercells copy her esper ability and now we have a talented martial artist who is also a genius esper and have THAT be the final challenge for garou who then get's his awakening by god to defeat Orochi so the prophecy can be fulfilled. Like Orochi at this point becomes undoubtedly the strongest monster we have seen even surpassing boros as regeneration, martial arts and ESP abilitys get combined for one last defiance only for god to snuff it out via Garou.

My problem is he didn't need to exist yet. Golden S could have done everything Platinum did and Platinum could have been saved for later. Right now Platinum just serves to job to Garou and feels very disappointing, at least to me. It doesn't matter if he'll appear again or not, what happened in this arc will not be changed by future events.

@@SatorisYT Ok then who's to say they don't have a new transformation for him in store? I don't think any cool character is wasted anyway since it's comedic relief. Most characters in the manga are stolen or jokes anyway that's what makes this manga so great. It's not meant to be taken serious. Even when you do and when you really get into it, Saitama does something so ridiculous you can't help but feel a bit akward for it.

@@SatorisYT The main problem with Plat S for me is that I'm fine with form changes but it really wasn't necessary in that situation. I feel like people should only transition into the next form when "oh shit this guy is actually pretty strong I'm gonna have to get even stronger than him to win" but Plat S transitioned for the sake of "omg look at this new form its so cool" like if thats the only reason he couldve gone even further "omg king is still too strong I need to become Diamond S" "omg king is still still too strong I need to become Obsidian S" "omg no way wtf even is king I need to become Cosmic S" not saying that he should tho

Hey man good vid, was wondering Been thinking about reading opm. I’ve been wanting to find another manga to read that had great story and characters with also strong characters to scale and wondering if you could help. Looking for something kind of like one piece

Thanks! Well, the strongest mangas I know are Dragon Ball, One Punch Man, Bleach, Naruto and Record of Ragnarok. Most simular to One Piece would probably be Naruto and Bleach. But in terms of characters, I'd recommend Record of Rangarok a lot! It's basically one huge tournament arc and the characters are consistently some of my favorites in anime and manga, several of them make it into my top 20 favorite anime characters list and almost all the fighters make it to top 100 in anime for me. Story wise and character wise, another one I really enjoy (my favorite manga of all time actually) is Tokyo Ghoul, but it's a more realistic setting with very brutal scenes and the power scaling doesn't go very high, mostly just up to town level maybe. But still, in terms of story, I think it's the best I've ever read.

Never thought about it. It could be interesting, but I don't feel like there's enough to talk about to make it a full video. If Psychos turns into a hero instead of going down the path of evil, then the entire Monster Association arc never happens. If she turns good during the arc or after, there's very little left to cover afterwards, as the manga hasn't gotten far after that.

Honestly Bang, Tank top master , Narinki private squad, a few of atomic disciples,alot of A classes heroes, and a ton of civilians caught In collateral damage should have died in the arc. Emphasis on Bang dying by garou hands making himself believe he is absolute evil. Maybe with all these people dying the heroes and the association get push back and shame from the rest of the world for not doing their job right. Could be an interesting mini arc. Or a justice mini arc where garou faces the consequences of his crimes. Also council of swordsmen was a let down, they are supposed to rival Atomic, yet they get one shot. Make the stronger and keep them alive.

Yeah, it's a gange that needs getting used to, but I feel like in the long run, it will be better for videos to have a more expressive avatar. I would imagine King as the strongest man would have the strength of Saitama and the ability to control Ki like in Dragon Ball (Child Emperor imagines his ultimate move very similarly to beams from Dragon Ball)
