This is a great wish-list, I hope to see everything you mentioned in 10.0! Only thing I'd add to it is the return of Guild-Only Master Loot!

Apart from the "too much convenience and player power" part of garrisons, another place where they really failed is that even the limited customization options they had were clearly jury rigged, and their implementation was sometimes counter-productive. For example: The menagerie and stables allow you to show off some of your pets and mounts, respectively. However, the way this was implemented was that the garrison chooses from your favourites for what to display. Now what's the problem with this, you ask? Favourites are account-wide. That means that if I want my villainous warlock to have their garrison crawling with various demons, that means the same is going to happen to my druid's garrison. And my paladin's garrison. And every other alt I happen to have... and this means that you can't really use the system at all unless you go to manually change your favorites every single time you log in.

That is an excellent point! I had never considered the account wide favorite system and how it can be counter productive to the head canon of different characters. I very much like this suggestion, and completely agree I felt that I had two options for my garrison and every time I went to someone else's garrison I was disappointed how I instantly knew what everything was and where it was. Over time I didn't even refer to it as my garrison, I called it the garrison. It sounds miniscule but I believe that simple word choice spoke volumes to how I felt.

@@skeletonetiquette I completely agree. For any alt, the selection is pretty much made. For large slots, barracks and war mill/bunker until you have a full contingent of max ilevel followers. For medium, the inn for one slot, the second a barn if you are a tailor or LW, and otherwise a lumber mill or trading post. For small, 1-2 profession buildings depending on your professions, the storehouse, and the salvage yard if you have only one prof building. Customization beyond that feels like a luxury and like you're handicapping yourself, sadly...

my favis are TW and player housing it be aslo cool if they add a guild player housing as well and you can display guild chalgeg /best mog and you do like a open volt to look at mount off gold like in bfa raid boss in battle of dazr lore roming garding the gold

Agreed, there's so many directions they could go with player housing/guild housing. Hoping to see it in the 4/19 reveal!

7:55 After more than a year we kind of got this, but for class spells instead of spec. However, instead of getting it at lvl 60, you need to fill up an arbitrary renown meter to 80, then go to Oribos and give a roleplay reason for changing even though you don't care at all. Then you have to hearth back to the sanctum, pick up all the weekly quests and callings again and swap to the right soulbind (because the game doesn't remember what you had). Now that I think about it, a new talent row is WAY better xD

and what's worse is that we aren't taking any of the covenant stuff forward so we don't actually get stronger leaving shadowlands, at least if there's a talent added we've gotten stronger than we came in. Just a bit frustrating in my opinion.

When it comes to glyphs and other ability customization - I'd love for some to be from glyphs, and some to be from other sources (kind of like druid forms have started to be), and also to have all of it be more like the druid forms - let us go to our class trainers and select from the ones we have learned.

You're probably right that there's a happy medium in between where both can thrive. Perhaps there's a way to make it easy to discern which you could acquire from glyphs and which you could acquire from loot. I would certainly need a guide to tell me where to get which... come to think of it lets do it! I'll write the guides hahaha I appreciate the depth of your comments, love talking about WoW :)

I'd like them to tone down the effects on screen. It's gotten hard to clearly see in epic Bags, raids, world bosses etc. They can make things look cool without being quite so busy.

That's a good shout, would you prefer something that suppresses friendly animations or yours? There's some exceptions obviously like healing effects I want to see but I don't need to the druids Full Moons smashing everywhere xD Or are you talking about boss animations?

@@skeletonetiquette more the AOE effects, procs, pools and fire from the boss etc. It's all just gotten to be a bit much. I turn down the effects to "some" and even then it's busy.

Can someonme explain to me what is the hipe for Mythic and Mythic+ ? I'm not familiar with them. What I understand is that every Raid you can do on 4 dificulty levels: normal, Hard, Mythic and Mythic+. I understand Hard with more HP, better loot and extra mechanics. Why the extra 2 for "fake" extra content ? What I do not get is why people are OK with this "lazy" way of extra content, and not demend more dungeons raids. I saw omewher a list that every expantion introduces less and less dungeons nd raids in favor of mythic and Mythic+. Seems lazy for me.

Mythic+ is a dungeon system, not a raiding system. It allows you to increase the difficulty of a dungeon infinitely, each + is 4% harder than the one below it. Rewards increase as the difficulty does, allowing you to get end game level loot from a basic dungeon, albeit not easily. It tends to suit players who don't have a wide network larger group for raids, but still want endgame content. Also given it's nature it doesn't have as many time restrictions, you'll raid for a few hours, a Mythic+ is around 30 minutes typically. In terms of fewer dungeons, that's partially true, the expansion M+ was introduced almost doubled the previous expansion in dungeons, including a Mega dungeon which is more akin to Black Rock Depths if you're familiar with older content. Larger dungeon, more bosses, closer to a 5 man raid when it's released. BFA and Shadowlands have both had more dungeons than WoD and Mists. So while BFA and SL have fewer dungeons than Legion, it's not that we're getting fewer dungeons than ever before. As for raids, again, Legion and BFA both had 5 raids which is the same since Mists, SL only has 3 but it was cut short, same as WoD which also had 3 raids. There has certainly been a content drought, but I don't see it correlated to M+, I hope this helped, feel free to ask any other questions :)

Most of these are pretty good, but I feel like the one for rewarding players for playing "off meta" classes or specs kind of sends the wrong message. It feels more like you're asking Blizzard to reward you for their inability to balance the game.

Not entirely, but I can see why you'd say that. I gave an extreme example for Ret Pallies, but that isn't always the case. There will always be a lowest and always be a highest, even if dps/hps was completely exact then the classes that brought more utility would win. There must be variance, there isn't a simple solution, so you have to look at ways to incentivize people for playing what they like, rather than flavor of the month. There will always be a Meta, defined by winners and losers.

@@skeletonetiquette I don't disagree that there will always be a "best" and "worst" class or that a meta will always form. But codifying it in game with specific rewards opens up a whole new can of worms. For example, what happens if a class is bad at the start of a season but it's later discovered that with a certain trinket combination they are actually way more powerful? Or maybe that class needs a certain level of gear, but once it hits that break point it's a lot better. Or say there is a bug in a Mythic+ affix that makes one healer really bad for pushing keys, but once that's fixed that healer becomes top tier instead. Ultimately, I think the real problem here is Blizzards system design and balance leads to a meta where there is too much variance between the different classes and specs. Yeah, someone is always going to be the "worst" option, but the problem is that there is too much of a gap between the "worst" and "best" options. And if a class is far enough behind that it's considered completely unusable in content, then the best way Blizzard can incentivize playing it is to fix that class. I get the idea here is to reward players that stick with a class when it's considered bad instead of rerolling something else, but I don't think this is the way to do it.
