Getting there, Like the song says "Started From the Bottom Now We're Here" Well, I'm almost there lol. Been working on another video on How to Make a WordPress Website, been editing it like crazy cause it's way to long. Hopefully it will be up in the next two days. I use both, while there is some overlap of functionality, I haven't seen a negative impact of using both.

Would WP Smush cause the files to become overly distorted on photography?

If you're looking to have the original photos on your site, then I recommend you keep the original image uncompressed. While the compression plugins do a great job of not impacting the quality of an image when viewed on a screen, there is an impact to image quality if you're looking to print them. If you're a photographer, then I'm assuming you're using photoshop. It's best to handle the image compression there so you get the results you want. You can also use GIMP which is the open source alternative to photoshop. Hopefully this helps. I might do another video just for Photographers and their websites.

I actually am not using photoshop, and I don't plan to print off the site so it sounds like I would be good to go? I just wanted to make sure visual appeal would still be there. Another video would always be welcome:) Thanks for the response!

Cool, you're good to go. The plugin won't have any visual impact on your pictures. Even on extremely high resolution screens you should be fine. I always recommend taking a backup just in case.

Hi, I have a question that needs answering and literally anyone can answer this for me, who possible has the right answer for this question. I would like to know is it possible to utilize other plug-ins outside of WordPress with a WordPress website? Let's say that I download a plug-in that I purchased from another website and I want to use it with my WordPress website, would I be able to add the plug-in to WordPress and use it on my website?

Yes, you would upload it from your WordPress Dashboard area by adding it as a zip file.

Because it's ideal for creating video tutorials. I don't always use incognito but often I do. For instance, I use a password manager and other extensions that would cause distracting popups in the middle of tutorials. Instead of editing everything out and wasting time, I just use incognito mode.

FYI - use ithemes security instead of wordfence sec since it ONLY adds 3 tables to the database instead of 24 that wordfence adds - Take a pass on wordfence & get ithemes if you don't want a HUGE performance hit. Can you spell BLOATWEAR?

I agree you have to be mindful of your database size. That being said, both plugins work a little differently and protect your website in different ways. With so many ways a website can get breached, a layered approach is always a good idea.
