Travis was the worst death bc there was no justice for his character whatsoever. Actor wanted to leave and the writers just abandoned his character and said fuck it have him die getting shot falling off a helicopter. He should’ve went out in a blaze of glory blowing up the dam and protecting the people he cares about. He could even die by getting shot by the Proctors during the escape. Troy died a bit too early imo but I made peace with his initial death. Forced him back on our screens in the most unrealistic way just to punish us twice but absolutely butcher his character in the process was an insult. Nick was ahead of the curve and one of the most advanced survivors (from that early on in the apocalypse) in the entire universe. He should’ve survived the entire show. Far more interesting than the rest. Show killing death. Ngl hot take but even Chris had more potential but died. It seemed the writers didn’t know what to do with him so they just made him turn into a psychopath and killed him off off screen which sort of worked but wish they done a bit more. I wouldn’t mind if he left the group and come back seasons later with a new villain group. Either way tho it did help develop Travis so at least we got that. Ofelia could’ve had a better death but fuck it. Daniel needed that extra bit of trauma for his character. Dorie family was good but imo they deserved their own sort of series maybe. They were too good for fear. After all these deaths I couldn’t care less about anyone else dying.

Initially I thought Travis’s death was ok… now looking at it, even though his actor wanted to leave, the writers definitely could’ve had him die later. Like yeah, Lori died early on in S3, but it felt more earned, and we got 3 episodes showing the fallout of her and Rick, so we had enough time before her death. Where Travis it felt it flew by way to fast

There were originally plans for Travis to die at the dam shame they did not do it.

Even though it sucks that Troy only appeared for like 4 episodes in s8, Madison killing him made sense and I really like it

I think it made it pointless to bring him back. What made it suck for me is the episode is about redeeming Troy just to kill him off anyways.

This show has the worst pointless deaths I’ve ever seen in any show even more than TWD main show and that says a lot. The other sad thing is that the best characters in the beginning died because the actors wanted to leave which is understandable but still. Like they had most villains die in the lamest way possible and the best characters like Travis, Nick, and John die in the most anti-climactic ways ever but at least that makes it kinda realistic.
