@@harleyspeedthrust4013 It's about the competition. Alexia is pretty erratic in that phase. I think he should've devoted a bit more time to that final shot. The projectile is also quite slow: fire directly at her and she'll bob in a different direction before it hits her. I could see it being a tough shot with time constraints weighing down on you. You have to lead her a bit and fire where she's about to be and something like that warrants some extra practice imo, just so you don't leave any last-second actions to chance. Just my outlook.
@Omicron99997 жыл бұрын
Between Alexia's unpredictable movements, the slow speed of the Linear Launcher shot, and the pressure he was under, it's an easy enough choke to make. Though yeah, if he'd panicked a little less and lined up his shots better he might've actually hit her.

as great a runner as Cheese is he also displays some really annoying runner traits - he's always arguing with the people commenting on his stream (who help him be a professional streamer), going out of his way to block people all the time, and actually seeming to get emotionally affected by what some idiot trolls say. I've seen many streams derailed by him giving in to the trolls. He usually just talks about the stupidity of people watching him to add fuel to the fire.

I'm 48, and I remember putting so many quarters in machines playing Pac-man, Donkey Kong, and Galaga. This is pretty fun watching the younger generations really exploring the games. We didn't have very many glitches to take advantage of way back in the day. :(

It seems like failing a 20 or 30min speedrun sucks, but is not the end of the world. Failing a speedrun when you're over an hour in probably feels like a major gut punch. I can't even imagine what it felt like messing up at the 6 hour mark...
@thisislargemouth55665 жыл бұрын
I used to win guitar hero competitions all the time. I was definitely a high tier player for sure. And I did it front of audiences regularly. One time we had a competition at a concert at the sleep train amp and there was THIUSANDS of people there and so much pressure I totally blew it and failed a song I had never failed before. Choking is real.

@Wtahc7 жыл бұрын
Tompa A That's probably a pretty smart conclusion to come to if you've never watched AndrewG in your life. But watch his streams, it's the exact same deal there.
@TompaA7 жыл бұрын
I've watched LOADS of his runs for hte past years, both on stream as well as live on location. Which is one of the reasons I make this conclusion =). Everyone can just have a bad day as well, and there was a lot more pressure on him than he ussually has.
@Wtahc7 жыл бұрын
Lol. If you watched his streams you would not have said this: _And when you play on a different console and controller which you are not used to, as well as playing on a flat screen TV..._ but rather this: _Yes, you are right._
@TompaA7 жыл бұрын
Yes, it's true, for most runners, that they obviously get more practice in for earlier stages. But that doesn't change that the factors I mentioned had a much greater impact on his result for that run than anything else. Which is a lot more clearer if you actually watch the run he did instead of just what this clip is showing.

Not all games are faster on japanese, also refresh rates are a thing too. (Japanese games often have higher Hz). Saves frames.
