Kricketune may not be very memorable, but it does have a very nice use. Since it has such an amazing movepool and a decent attack stat, it can make a great revenge killer with a Choice Scarf. I mean, Scyther can do something similar, but Kricketune has Leech Life, which Scyther doesn't, and has about the same offense as Scyther with a Choice Scarf.

I used Kricketune during my playthrough in Diamond, and it wasn't too bad. I think it gets more hate than it deserves. Also, how many bug Pokémon do you know of that learn sing? Granted it's a bad sleeping move, but still.
