​@@magicstudios_sm short version: Hasbro first charged $80 to get the figure and then another $25 to get the same figure with the maskless head sculpt. The figure was supposed to be an updated version of the 2002 figure with new articulation and sculpt, which brought a lot of hype. What it turned out to be was a horrible rendition of Spider-Man with a bad sculpt, bad articulation, bad paint, and brittle plastic that was prone to snapping off at the legs. Because no other figure in that price range has failed so miserable in relation to the hype and what it was supposed to be, it's the worst!

@1:58 response 100% I seen Dwight say it in an OLD OLD con interview. They asked him about toad and he said the reason they haven't done him is because he's a one and done character, and if they made him people wouldn't have a reason to buy another toad. Behold when toad actually did come out it was a weird skinny version, that didn't look nothing like the wave one toybiz toad I personally wanted. Good luck finding that interview now...

Angel is a good figure but they could make him look better. The hands are a little awkward, the hair looks weird, the second head's expression also weird. And a personal nitpick is his physique, I always picture him (and he has been depicted) as a not very buff guy, at least in the chest and torso

Great video. I owned the Dracula and spider shot and modded both of them. But the fact me and others had to mod them is a reason they deserve to be on these type of list. Oh and if you want to fix your spider shot legs, if you have one of those lame Marvel boys lying around, just swap the hips.

I do think this is why everyone keeps asking for these videos - it's fun in a dark humor kinda way 😂😂 Btw: I AM a ML fan but damn this year was slim pickings... there were a couple I wanted to buy but admittedly they weren't great (She Hulk I only bought to repaint in a F4 costume) and some I only wanted for the accessories rather than the figure itself like Phoenix and Ghost Rider (which I'll buy either second hand or on AliExpress only). As for all the other duds: hey, at least we should have some cheap fodder when they turn into peg warmers and go for sale at 75% discount 🤷🏻‍♂️

Damn, Dracula is number 4. I do know in the comics he does look like this in the red armor and tattered cape, while others the more traditional Dracula in suit with cape. Either way, I enjoy the figure sure it has flaws but having this and Operation Monster Force Dracula I get some variety on how Drac looks.

That Jackman Wolverine figure is actually pretty passable (if you swap out the skinny arms for the much more jacked bare arms from the tank top Jackman, add a series of washes and dry brushes, paint the side burns and stubble to match the unmasked head, and pose the figure to hide the hips). Ok ok, it might be bad.

I can't get behind the Wolverine hate. It's a flawed figure, but I can't say it's anywhere near the year's worst. The hips are unfortunate when you get the legs close in a vanilla pose, but spread them out even a little in an action pose and they're fine.

Argh I do have two of them. The Movie Colossus and the Angel. I like the paint job and scale of Colossus. He is also a fun foil for Deadpool in the movies. Angel I am a big fan of the original comics X-Men even when rebranded as X-factor. I did get at a clearance price on Angel as well. These are my justifications. I am only human😁

I think the main reason that people excuse the poor consistency of Marvel Legends is because the line makes so many characters that import companies will probably never even consider. All Bandai wants to make are the MCU iterations of characters, and while MAFEX and Mezco may make comic accurate figures, they’re only ever gonna do the big names. On top of that, given their current record, there are some big names that MAFEX probably won’t make just due to proportions. Thanos, Juggernaut, Beast, Colossus, The Thing, HULK. Hasbro may make some crappy figures, but they’re tolerable enough gap fillers, and they’re just cheap enough to convince people to open the ol’ wallet and pay for another character that they’ve never heard of in their life. Anyway, happy new year. 🙂

I agree with a lot of the list, but not for Spidershot. I don't think mine has hips like what everyone else's has? It has to have been a production issue. I haven't been a big fan of Legends as of late. Lots of stupid reuse and lazy execution. But I love that figure and the design. Granted, they still could have given him more. But the sleek design, the cool looking squint, the gimmick with the wrist blast effects? I think it's one of my favorite Spiderman releases in recent years. I'm kinda bummed that no one else seemed as happy with theirs as I have been. He's no Scarlet Spider, but still, I am pretty happy with him. Also really like the Last Stand Spidey. He's small, and not poseable. And I added a wash to make him look better. But I like the design. Elseworlds Spider-man stories are apparently my jam.
