There are 3 extremely horrible methods of torture/execution not listed in this Top 10 list. It was exclusively reserved for people who were found to be traitors to the Crown and state during Medieval times.. The Catapult Quartering - where a convicted and condemned persons limbs were tied to the ends of 4 big trees that had been bent over and staked down. Once the ropes were cut the trees would fly up violently, instantly ripping off the persons 4 limbs, similar to the quartering usually done with horses, but instead, sending the 4 limbs along with the head and torso flying way up into the sky, at the same time showering the watching crowd in the convicted persons blood. At times the convicted person would still be alive as their head and torso would be flung several 100's of feet into the air, and their loud horrific audible screams could be heard on their way up, and even on their way back down as they fell back to the ground eyes wide open and screaming, where their head and torso would usually just explode upon impact once it hit the ground. Death was fast, brutal, and it was very efficient as a deterrent to crimes against the state. Death by Ballbusting - where a convicted and condemned man would be blindfolded and then tied up naked and suspended from a tree with their legs spread extremely wide to the point where it looked like they were doing the splits. The condemned man would then be kicked repeatedly in the testicles.. non stop.. 24 hours a day.. 7 days a week.. around the clock.. day and night.. until they were dead. The kickers would be selected from among the biggest strongest men in the Royal Guard, who would take turns in shifts kicking the man in his nuts with all their strength, and an incentive reward or bonus was usually given to the soldier who would deliver the final kicks that would end the man's life. Sometimes the condemned man would die from choking on his own vomit, or his testicles would be ripped right from his body causing them to die from massive blood loss and granting them a much quicker and less painful death. Head Stoning - where a convicted and condemned person would have their arms and legs broken, and then they would be buried in the sand up to their necks, with just their heads sticking out, and unable to get free. For the first day the person would have honey poured all over their head, and then fire ants and other biting and stinging insects would be poured all over the persons head as well.. causing them excruciating pain and torment. On the next day, huge piles of rocks would be brought in and all of the towns people would gather around to hurl these big rocks and bricks at the person's head.. until their head was smashed to pieces and they were dead. All citizens of the town were forced to attend the stonings and to participate in the stonings with each person being commanded by law to throw a rock at the person's head, and to make things even worse.. the family members of the convicted and condemned person, from old to young, would all be commanded to cast the very first rocks at their family member's head.. or choose to suffer the same exact fate as them.
